Regan Locke: This knob is a gorgeous matte black and doesn't scratch easy. Was super easy to install, only took a few minutes. My one complaint is the "panic proof" function that they advertise. Even when the door lock is engaged, you can still turn and open from the inside. If you have young kids that you want to keep inside, the lock won't do a damn thing to stop them. You have to know if the door is locked based on if the lever is vertical or horizontal.

Jae: The entry knob to our house from the garage stopped working recently. It was a Kwikset that was part of a 3-knob set I purchased shortly after moving in years ago(the idea of using the same knobs the builders and whoever else used didn't set well with me). Anyways, all the Kwiksets I found on Amazon used a 'Smartkey' feature I really didn't understand and I didn't mind carrying an extra key on my keychain.
The Schlage Plymouth got pretty good reviews and I needed something fast(a broken entry doorknob is one of those things you shouldn't put off replacing). My only requirements were a brand I trusted and something I could get for free same-day shipping(with that being offered in my area thru Prime). Not surprisingly, the order arrived on time and correct- thanks Amazon!
The good:
Solid look/feel. You don't want something flimsy-looking to encourage criminals!
Easy installation. It took me all of 5 minutes to complete and that includes unboxing. The instructions are easy to read and comprehensive.
Packaging. If you've read my other reviews you know I don't like plastic packaging. This knob came in a small cardboard box that didn't require a knife or scissors...
