Dabrow: Used it for daily carpet cleaning in a condo building. Suction was meh at first but it was doing the job. Now after 4 month the vaccum is totaly useless suction is weak even after a full clean

Jim: This review is for the Sanitaire EUK5745B Hepa Upright Vacuum. The difference is the A or B at the end. For some reason when I go to my order history, it shows the EUK5745A even though I bought the B version. Here is the link of the review for the B version:

I bought this vacuum because my wife used it at a part time job and enjoyed it. The good things are obviously the long cord, you only need to plug it in one or two times and get to most of the house. The second good feature is you don't have to deal with bags--it's easy to empty. The only hassle is shaking and pulling hair off the filter. The suction power is pretty dang good. There are three cats, and three girls in the house with long hair. Let me tell you, it picks up everything. Of course you will have to clean the spinner on the bottom as with any vacuum. You can adjust the height which is an awesome feature. I don't use it on hard surfaces, so I cannot tell you how well it works. The hose isn't too bad. Suction is good, sometimes falls off if you...

Kim: So I hate to leave negative reviews but my office cleaning lady hates this vacuum - she says its too heavy and her arms - neck and back hurt when she is done - and she says it is really challenging and awkward to change the bag. Well I have not tried it but she begged me to return it after the first time she used it - I asked the company if they would take it back and they said no not after it has been used... So I just thought I would share this info. Sorry Sanitaire. However, the suction is great and it does operate as advertised. We use it in a very busy office and it does a good job. I guess the only cons are the comments my cleaning lady has said about it. UPDATE: I have to add to this because, although I won't change the fact that my cleaning lady still hates this vacuum, I will admit that this company who sold this has good customer service. Although they would not let me return it after one use, it did break after about 8 months or so, (I think it was just the belt) and the man who owns the company drove out to our office and fixed it for us for free then delivered it back to us and included a few new belts for us to have on hand. Telemachos: This vacuum goes to show that you can solid performance that meets and exceeds more expensive machines at a respectable price. When I was shopping for a vacuum, there were a few things that I was looking for that make a vacuum work: 1) vacuum itself and the airflow so CFM, 2) maintenance, and 3) cord length.

This machine rates at 135 CFM which is the amount of air being ran through the motor, cubic feet per minute. More is better when cleaning, but more can also mean louder. From using this machine, I feel the noise is very acceptable at 69 dbm.

For a family with carpeted stairs, the attachments are almost necessary, which was also something considered. The cord length is enough to take from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor safely.

The end result is that this is a good machine that cleans well, to the point where my family saw a noticeable different from our prior vacuum that needed to be replaced. I would say that this vacuum has the potential to be one of the best vacuums I have had so far, yet that is a test of time. As with any machine, proper care and maintenance will determine how efficient the machine will work. Nothing has stood out as of yet regarding...

Primotenore: First off let me clearly say that this vacuum cleaner pulled up more dog hair than I thought possible from my rugs. Hands down, unbelievable suction. That's the good news. Now for the reality---and it's not pretty.
If you have wood floors, forget about it. No way to shut off the beater bar. No wood floor attachment.
The extension hose is short, really short and if you attach the crevice tool, the suction is so great that you can't move three feet beyond the vacuum.
Now the deal breaker and why I returned the product three days later: Clean up is YUCK, FILTHY, CUMBERSOME and DISGUSTING.
The gilled paper filter is completely clogged after a thorough cleaning. It must be washed with a brush and that takes 5-10 minutes of disgusting, dirty scrubbing. Then it must be completely dry before reassembly. However reassembly was next to impossible. The lid to the dust bin does not easily and simply reattach. Biggest PITA I have ever come across. All of this equals a no buy recommendation, especially if you have shedding dogs. Perhaps this vacuum would be good for people with wall to wall carpeting and no pets; then and only then maybe. P.S., I will NEVER purchase a bagless vacuum...

Cindy R. Jorgenson: I have been using the vacuum in my home for 3 weeks now and absolutely love it! I vacuum every day seeing I have a shedding dog and 3 boys. Even though the body is plastic, its seems like heavy duty plastic. Loving the attachments that are easily accessible. The carpet height adjustment is manual but no problem for me. And being bag less is a big plus. The first time I decided to empty the large cup holding the filter and carpet yuck was easy until I tried to put the cup back in. I didn't realize I had to push down a tab on the cup to have it fit back in correctly. After that, no problem. Its not as loud as my last vacuum but I believe all vacuums need to have some noise for it to be able to run. It picks up dirt, dog hair and bird seed with ease. I also have a cockatiel that can be messy at times. Edge cleaning is also great. The vacuum is on the heavy side, 21 pounds, so I get my daily workout every day, but it does glide along carpet with ease when set at the right carpet height. I am hoping this will be the last vacuum I own with regular care and maintenance. I would highly recommend this vacuum.
