Barbara Schauer: I wasn't planning to write a rave review about a paper towel dispenser, but this one replaced one that was big, clunky, and everyone hated in our yoga studio bathroom. I thought I'd need help installing it, but it was easy to do myself using the screws from the old horrible dispenser. Now we have a sleek, quiet, minimalist towel dispenser and did I say - I installed it myself! It's great.

Ray98: I ended up with a bunch of different 8" towels with various core sizes. This solved the problem. It dispenses all of them flawlessly. Great design.

B.: I was worried by some of the negative reviews, but I've installed this in my workplace bathroom and "so far, so good". It works nicely, the lever isn't flimsy, and the paper towel dispenses nicely. The only issue I had was that I put the paper towel roll "upside down" (it has to feed from the bottom, not the top) and so I jammed it at first. But just flip the paper towel roll and it works well. (I use brown kraft paper towel roll, and it's a pretty large roll). Installation wasn't the smoothest for me, because I didn't have the right tools. I'd recommend using drywall anchors if you're putting this just into drywall, which requires more than a basic screwdriver. Other than that, easy installation, just 5 screws (make sure you have the correct ones though; the screw holes are bigger than I was expecting so you need a screw with a larger head than the ones I had.)

D.H.K.: Finally got around to installing this in the office, and boy, was ever I disappointed.

1.) The lever is horrible. You have to be sooo gentle when pressing down on it in order to get the paper towel to dispense. Otherwise, if you press down even at a normal pace/pressure, the gears on the lever will grind and nothing comes out. I used a half-roll of paper towel and it couldn't even handle that weight.

2.) Quite frequently, the paper towels get jammed by getting "reversed rolled" into the rollers. It was the funniest thing when first happened: the paper towel was coming out, and then all of a sudden it decided to retreat and disappear into the dispenser. I had to open it up on many occasions, get an exacto knife, and cut out the jammed paper (2 - 5 minute job).

Finally, I had enough and decided to uninstall the thing. Now I have five nice drill holes on the bathroom wall that I have to eventually plaster and paint over.
