Claudine Massa: Wish no stars was an option, but sadly it isn’t. This fountain never heated up. I melted the chocolate first as directed, and all it did was spin the chocolate through the fountain as it got cooler and harder. The chocolate got so hard from being cooled that it jammed the inner mechanism. In an attempt to clean it out, we were all covered in chocolate. The only way to use all of the prepared food for fondue was to dip it in a bowl of melted chocolate that came from the microwave. Since this was Thanksgiving Day, we were horrified in front of our guests. The fountain was cool to the touch the entire time and it was also loud. Thankfully Amazon gave us a full refund. Item had to be thrown in the trash as the chocolate could not be cleaned off to sufficiently to send it back.

Mmlsmiles: This fountain was horrible. Do not waste your money. We even bought the bag of chocolate melts it suggested (to make it smoother for the motor). It never heated up enough to “fountain.” It kinda lumped out and fell into the next level. It was loud (which another review warned of). My 10 year old grandson said “I don’t think it works”. It ruined the chocolate dessert planned for the grandkids. I want the $20 I spent on chocolate melts too but I’m sure that’s not going to happen.
