If you're looking for a thrilling science fiction adventure, Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon is the perfect book for you! With its high-quality binding and pages, this book is easy to read and understand. Get ready to be taken away to a far-off planet as you experience alien invasion and all the excitement that comes with it. Genre fans won't want to miss this one! LacrYmosa Wolf: I loved the heck out of this book! I laughed a lot and enjoyed the ever growing plot line. I felt for the humans and got curious for all the things coming in the planet. I couldn’t put the book down!
Character breakdown;
Georgie: I adored her so much she was funny, and brave to go out and do all she did. With minimal help from the other women too, and she was good at the leadership thing.
Vektal: I won’t lie I definitely did not like how he went about the meeting but he eventually grew on me. It took awhile though, it also took me a bit to accept how quickly he wanted Georgie and his descriptions of her. Funny, but also what?! lol
I am looking forward to reading the next book, which will be soon because I loved Liz a lot! 8/10 ⭐️ recommended.

Sarah: My first Alien romance and beam me up Scotty - I am hooked!
I was worried at first cause the first few chapters were terrible and I had to read about our heroine eating a ‘Lean Cuisine’. But it really took off once we met Vektal.
He really knows how to um…greet people.
I read this in less than 24 hours, officially pulling me out of my reading slump. Onto book 2!

A Rider: I first read this a year or 2 ago, and it completely blew me away. It was my first foray into the genre (sci-fi romance, fated mates, monster lovers - take your pick). Since then, I’ve read a LOT more (and while there is plenty of variation to be found, a significant number strongly resemble this storyline/setting). So I decided to reread it, now that I have some experience under my belt, to determine if it was really as good as I remember.
It’s great. The language barrier, the romance, the promise of more to come… it’s a very enjoyable, relaxing, and satisfying read. Why not 5 stars then? While it may not really be the fault of the author, there really are a TON of different versions of this exact story - abducted, stranded, rescued by hunky somewhat barbaric aliens who just happen to be short on fertile females. It may not detract from this story, but it certainly lessens the impact and (more importantly) its worth as literature. It’s a wonderful read, but not IMO a 5* book.

Nicole C: I love a fantasy romance book where the MC and FC have a fated connection. Alien romance books offer that kind of where the FC is in distress and the MC helps her while falling in love along the way. I'm also a sucker for books where he falls first. I've read many stories with this kind of plot and this was definitely done well. It wasn't spectacularly amazing enough for me to give five stars or to want to read the rest of the books in the series, but it was still better than average. This might also be because there are a lot of books with a similar trope available on KU and I tend to binge-read them when in the mood. I would recommend reading this book if you wanted to read about a fated connection, alien romance story.

Shannon: I ate this up in a few hours like I was not expecting to get past the first 15 pages. It got to the point where I was like I don’t want this to end… l started to question if I’m broken or is this just what I’m in to these days 😂
The book starts of a bit dark, read your trigger warnings! I’ve read worse but could trigger people. The vibe of the book is like an insta-soul mate only it’s one sided but he isn’t pushy about it and doesn’t imprison her. Vektal cares about her safety and is willing to do anything to make her smile. He even considers letting her go if that is what she really wants which the thought absolutely breaks his heart. There’s a lot of smut and it may not be for everyone but I genuinely enjoyed it.
I could be here all day gushing about what I liked about this book. I can understand why it gets hate and it is unreadable to some. When it comes to some of the sexual terms and some of the lingo she uses makes me die a little inside. I can easily ignore it as it wasn’t every time they were doing it but I know it’s hard for others. The book ends with a happy ending and it leads easily onto the next book following the other girls in...

Laura Henman: Until today i had never heard of Ruby Dixon. I came across this book in the recommendations in kindle, while I was looking for something else and decided to give it a go.
I am glad that I did!!
This is an interesting book about human females getting abducted by aliens!! Something mankind has always wondered upon, due to do many claiming that they had indeed been kidnapped and tested upon alien creatures, possibly trying to understand us?? 🤔🤔
Well whatever the reason it is something many believe in, but just as many claim that those are just crying wolf and/or wanting the mass attention of the everybody.
This starts as Georgie awakens in a holding bay with several others in there too. Some have been there a few days, while others have been there for weeks. It turns out however, that Georgie and these others are spares.
The original six women....all aged 22 years old, as well as the spares....are in hibernation and are oblivious to their capture, unlike Georgie and the other girls.
They are to be quiet at all times or suffer horrendous consequences, as one such girl....the last one caught after Georgie....Dominique was to find...

.K.K.D.S.: I wasn't too sure about this book at first because I was upset and disillusioned by other alien-romances I had recently read. I was worried that Ice Planet Barbarian would be more of the same and as long as I didn't read the sample, I couldn't be disappointed and had something to look forward to. I sent a sample of Volume One to my kindle on a whim alongside a dozen other samples. When I finally reached this one, I liked that very short sample enough to send a sample of the Complete Series to my kindle, then said "OMG! I like this! " and bought the Complete Series.
I love this story and don't regret my purchase at all! I have re-read the whole book three times since then, and thought about the story fondly even more often. Today I decided to see if any more volumes of Ice Planet Barbarians from the POV of the other human women were available for purchase. I am very disappointed that none exist and hope that Ruby Dixon is working on more books for this series. *HINT!! HINT!! Ruby Dixon*
I liked the story very much just from the free sample I got from Volume One but was afraid to buy it because the sample ended before Georgie got to meet her alien hunk. That is the ONLY reason...

Stephanie M.: I bought this book over a year ago or two don’t really remember, but I finally decided to take the plunge and read it. Did rewatching Avatar contribute to this? Yes definitely 😂
I am honestly shocked by how much I am enjoying this book. I went into this thinking it was going to be full of alien sexy time, which don’t get me wrong it was, but it has a plot too. Like what? I’m constantly taking a break and asking myself if I’m actually into this? And yes yes I am 😳🫣 Vektal and Georgie are so cute together and Georgie is hilarious ❤️ this book has me in a chokehold 😅
