Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded.  We got this for my 10 year old son for graduation, he wanted this. He’s happy with it. I researched many of these, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. We read if you put a mix of money it gets jammed so we started with just pennies. They still got jammed and the Pennie’s would fly out of the machine. We tried mixing the money and it did the same. It makes my son happy but 4 stars because the money gets jammed occasionally

N. Holmes: The media could not be loaded.  This is my review for the Royal Sovereign 2 Row Electric Coin Counter. Over the years, we have accumulated bags of coins that we just stored in a closet, yesterday I decided to order the item above so that I could put the coins in wrappers and take them to the bank.

I called various banks and most charge a fee of 10% if you don’t have an account with them (I don’t since I bank out of state). Walmart’s Coinstar charges 11.9% and so that is why I decided to buy this machine.

I did read the reviews of various models, and I was going to buy the manual hand crank model but I had so many bags of coins to count that I thought that I would give this model a try. There are more expensive models but for home use I decided on this model, I was also considering the 4 row model but did not want to pay close to $130.00 for it.

I...

MooseJuice: I want to start by answering a question I had about it before I purchased. The machine will stop when a coin chute is at the proper amount, you don't have to worry about weighing or keeping track of how many coins went into the tubes.

Its nice because it will stop then you can just pull the next tube forward and it will keep going while you get the next one loaded up with the paper tube.

The machine doesn't do well with foreign objects - which includes coins stuck together. Fortunately, all you do is unscrew one regular head screw and the hopper hinges forward so you can retrieve said object. It would be nicer if you could take the hopper completely off because it is kind of hard to reach into the inside but it is managable.

My biggest complaint is that it only comes with two of each wrapper - but at least it has some. I ordered a box of assorted wrappers but they did not arrive at the same time so now I have to stop playing with my new toy until they show up.

There is an on/off switch on the back side, which took me a moment to find because it has buttons on the front. Outside of that, it is pretty fool proof.

No, it isn't a...

cj: I think people are expecting $1000 efficiency from a $70 unit. For $70 this is a pretty good unit, most of the coins that went it were pre sorted, the first 2,500 pennies went through it like a breeze, the next 2,500 pennies not so well it seamed to jam up with every 50 cents that went through even when doing a hand full at a time. Then the next 30,000 pennies it's maybe jammed 3 times. Now many people have said that it doesn't count acuratly, and that is true to an extent, and after a little bit of time of using you'll notice when you get more pennies then what was counted. Sometimes a penny gets put in the dime or nickel slot and sometimes a dime in the penny slot, also I have found sometimes a penny gets counted but doesnt come all the way out of the slot or a penny will get through (usually stacked on top of another penny) without getting counted. Out of $28 in pennies I had six to many ( I know that 50 copper pennies with a wrapper on should weigh between 155 grams and 158 grams easy secondary way to know if the machine counted right.) With the pennies I could fill the hopper up all the way to the top and not have any problems, the nickels and quarters I...
