Thomas E Nicholss: It works just like they said give it a couple shakes and your coins are all separated thank you for a great product

PG NYC: I only have to sort coins once every couple of years when our big jar fills up, so I did not want to spend a lot of money on an automated machine. This set of trays works pretty well, with a bit of effort. The dimes and pennies are the most tricky, since the dimes aren’t much smaller and are light, and so sort of float up above the pennies in the tray. Overall, the product did the job, and my coins are sorted and in their paper sleeves. It was an amusing project.

Keith: This is a great buy for sorting your change so you call roll it yourself. It pays for itself after your first $100. Consider you will pay 9-12% for a service to do it.

Jacqueline C Hayes: First, it does work in sorting the coins into the appropriate trays. I did not get any coins through the holes that weren't supposed to go through them. However, you have to add coins slowly because I found that a lot of the smaller coins (dimes and pennies) got stuck on top of the quarters in the top tray. This continued down into each following tray.

Saul: The coin sorting trays were fine except the dime tray had a couple of holes that were too big and they were allowing pennies thru.

Mike NMike N: The problems described here all seem to be present in the 5-tray set and not the four-tray set.
I bought these coins sorting trays because I have many years of pocket change to sort and roll. While the concept seems to work great, this specific brand has one big flaw and a few minor ones that make me recommend not buying these. I would recommend buying only the 4-tray set or look for another brand.
First problem is the penny tray which should keep the pennies and drop the dimes has a single hole in it which is too big and lets pennies fall through (picture). This hole is identical in size to the holes in the nickel tray (which drops the pennies and dimes). This is a serious problem because once you have shaken the tray long enough to get all the dimes to drop, this one hole lets many pennies drop into the dime tray, effectively ruining the sort. You can get around this problem if you are willing to tape up this one hole or stick your finger in it while shaking the tray, but why should you have to do that.
Next, there are standard colors assigned to each denomination of coin, which even the coin wrappers follow. Pennies use a red color and nickels use blue. However, as you...
