C. DavenportC. Davenport: I bought these panniers a year ago this month for a rad expand electric bike. I ride between 128 and 300 miles each week commuting to work, gravel biking, grocery runs, on road century rides, Forest service roads, and trails. All while carrying 32lbs of stuff in the panniers.. Basically these things got beat every single day while carrying heavy, sharp cargo. Bags were wrecked several times, and reworked with canvas to deal with holes my bike lock chain (which is a logging chain, not a normal one, i like my bike to not be stolen) put through them. This week, after a year of use, I bought a 2nd set of these to replace the current ones I like these budget panniers so much. For $40 you really can't get better. I will say the black color, rather than the green, seems to hold up better based on a friend who has the black, but I like green. Canvas is susceptible to sun damage and high temp on the green, riding with a rain cover over it would probably prolong life as well as not leaving it in your car in the summer all the time.. Second issue is canvas fails at seams with age, probably because straps aren't adjustable and thus the load is constantly shifting and straining the fabric as...

Good value for the money.

They are very easy to take on and off, only 3 clasps. It's easy when I want to go to a shop and lock my bike, because it takes 10 seconds to take the whole pannier off the rack and carry it like a bag (it has a nice handle to help with carrying). Putting it back on the rack is equally quick and effortless.

They are tight and secure on the bike.

They are made of very firm and strongly sewed fabric. I have carried some heavy shopping in these with no issue. They also have some firm inner wall lining to keep them straight (but it could have been better if they were more solid and firm).

Water-resistant: I had a spilling of some of my grocery inside one of the bags. The bags are fully water-tight, so I had to turn them over to throw the water out of the bags. That's a good thing. It keeps water from both inside and outside from getting past the fabric.

Someone who has bought this product: The bag was great, I never hit my heels on it while I was biking which was something, I really did enjoy the fact that it has a separable bag on top so you can store items in there but you can also store items in between the extra bag and the rest of the bag, the only down fall I had was it was to small for what I was doing (overnight biking). But if you are looking for a day to day type of bag this is it.

Jo-Jo Customer: So, there are so many more expensive options for bike panniers and as a daily bike commuter, I want something that will work well, hold up over time, and easily carries a decent supply of things in addition to my standard product (repair tools, lighting, spare tube, hat and gloves, rain gear). Beyond that stuff, I like knowing I can get whatever I need off my back in a pinch. these do this for me having been using it now for about two months. I'm sure there are more durable products out there, but I've learned from prior panniers not to over strain the zippers or stitch points and because this one is spacious enough, I haven't on these.

Here are a few CONS:
- The straps that attach the top pack to the side panniers work and can easily be detached, however, the straps do not adjust so when empty, the top pack kind of flaps around. I've not really had a major issue with it, but a design update would sure be nice so you can cinch down the top pack.
- the zippers do not feel very strong and are only one way zippers. Typically, I prefer to be able to adjust zipper placement so I can unzip from one side, the other, the middle, or anywhere in between to make it quicker and...

Michael: I want to make this clear, I am rating the product itself not Amazon warehouse deals, which is why I am giving it 5-stars instead of 3 but I'll start with Amazon warehouse, just in case if you plan on buying it from them instead of new, like how I did. If you're not, just scroll down further to the review of the product.

Amazon warehouse deal-- I was able to buy this product at a discounted rate. I don't mind using products that have been previously used. However, Amazon warehouses need to do a better job at checking out their products that are being resold. There are some stains on the bag, not a big deal, it's kind of expected and their relatively small. In one of the side pannier bags there were a lot of white powder substance. I didn't really notice until I started putting clothes in there for my cycling work to commute and when I got to work to take them out and put them on, they were covered in white powdery stuff. Since I didn't have any violent rages for cocaine, it probably wasn't anything bad. I just wish it was better cleaned out before being resold.
