JJ: Purchased this garlic press in december of 2020 after an extensive search on the web. The intention was using it without peeling the garlic, which it did pretty well. It did however spill some garlic over the edges at the top.

After 13 months of every now and then usage, the hinge just broke while preparing a meal. The piece of metal fell in the pan, but could be received. On inspection, the other side of the hinge was also cracking and almost done.

Got in contact with the company, who quickly referred me back to amazon. Amazon did a great job in taking care of the complaint. My faith in this brand is done and I will not go for it again. Just purchased the kuhn rikon one, hoping it will last us a while.

Bender: I can't believe that, as of my writing, my 2 star review will be the most positive review for the new style of this press. My press is very wasteful: there is a lot of garlic left in the hopper. I suspect that other users are breaking their presses by trying to get it to crush the entire clove, when the machine is simply not designed to do so. It's attractive, but it's poorly designed: the materials are strong, but it's also designed so that anyone of average hand strength could break it if they didn't understand how it worked.

Stephanie : I've had the same issue that many other's have documented here. When pressing garlic with any amount of force, it's very easy to bend the bottom plate and start pushing it past where it's supposed to stop. You can bend it back, but really it shouldn't do that. Long term this thing just isn't going to last. Big waste of money.

This is a great looking press for those who never plan on pressing garlic.

BSLBSL: This had good reviews, had a good write up, came with a warranty. However, it broke within three months, Amazon closed out the sale and the manufacturer is not communicating. I'm stuck with a broken press and no warranty as promised. Not very pleased on this end.

Manufacturer has made contact and is fulfilling the warranty. Much happier now!
