AB-Fixer: Pan is very thin and light weight, but heats up extremely fast. Inductive cook up provides sufficient fine control for most cooking. Blinking red light in off state a bit annoying though, but no big deal. Good and safe idea for dorm living, if only the pan is smaller.

Louigi Addario-Berry: The machine is fine as far as it goes - but when we try to use it for frying in oil, it overheats and refuses to run. That's a big drag because it seriously limits the range of use of the device. Fine for boiling water, cooking pasta and the like - but don't try to make falafels from scratch or you will be sorry when the machine conks out and you have to scramble for a backup plan.

Jo: Works well and heats up really quickly. There are no extra buttons for setting to maintain temperatures or power level but it makes it easier to use. I think it still maintains the temperature or power level anyhow once you've set it. The other models include settings for hotpot, stirfry etc but they are really not needed as it's easy to set the power level or temperature for those. The stainless steel pot is quite thin metal and is great for hotpots, deep frying and cooking anything with lots of liquid but it's absolutely terrible for dry type cooking like Stirfry. Works great with cast iron and any heavy bottomed cookware. One thing I would have liked is a longer power cord. Especially if you are using it for hotpots at the dinner table. You need to have a power outlet close by or use extension cords.

Steven: Good value for money, the induction stove is worth the price, plus the pot plus lid. The pot isn't bad quality, but not great either. Too early to tell but is already getting stained at the bottom with only 3 uses so likely I will need to go buy another higher quality pot. I still recommend the bundle as the pot and lid is likely worth it plus the stove. Bought the stove as a spare standby in case my other two burners broke down so this was perfect. So far have had 3 hot pots and each one was a blast, so can recommend. Would of been nice if the pot was a split pot

Dillon Hockett: I went for the non-programmed variant of this product. My initial though was "i never know how how the flame on my burner is so whats the difference here." Well in practice it does hold us but i think looking back i would have gone for the programmed model just for ease of use.

First i will say though, this thing gets hot and it gets hot fast! I was honestly not prepared for that coming from the other conventional heating methods. I just set it to high like i usually did before and my cast iron pan was smoking in no time.

The cooktop is easy to use, just place your pan or pot on it, hit the power button and then the mode button after, from there you select your power level. After figuring it out, i never had a need to go above 1200W, it honestly just got too hot to do anything useful and would overheat the plate with my cast iron skillet. If you take your pan off while cooking then you will be treated with a very loud and constant beeping to let you know you took your pan off. I could do without this feature but i get why its there, once you return it though it stops instantly. I will say, if you leave a pan on it empty for a while, it will overheat the system pretty...

TheAoCPlayer: I've been using it for 1 month now 3 times a day, and am satisfied so far with the products performance. Some points about the product:

- As other buyers have mentioned, the pot that comes with it is poor quality. I use cast iron, but as long as a magnet sticks to your cookware, it will work with the unit.
- It should be noted that one of my pans is an 1950's Lodge pan with a ring on the bottom, so only the ring actually touches the surface of the unit and it still manages to heat up fine.
- Remember that you are cooking with a very powerful tool, don't start off with a cool pan and crank the settings to the max (1800w), as this will damage your cookware, usually by warping it in the middle. Start off low and gradually increase the power as the pan heats up.
- It can boil water on the 1200watt setting twice as fast and with 1/3rd the energy of a conventional stove.
- I can't remember the term, but the 300w/500w settings both work by a way of fluctuating temperature to create an average. I used a Kill-A-Watt to test this. The 300w setting goes down to 72w for a moment, then goes up to 500w the next moment, and repeats this process. This means that those 2 lowest...

Sarah L.: I have used this unit for a year with flawless performance. The glass top is great and very easy to clean. Like all induction units, very energy efficient. I am able to simmer a pot of past sauce using only 300 Watts!

Why not 5 stars?

Timer: the time control starts at 30 minutes and you can only add minutes. So, to pressure cook hard boiled eggs for 7 minutes, I have to roll it all the way up to 60 to start over. If you miss it, go all the way around the clock again...really annoying that I can not subtract one minute.

Temp: The temperature regulation is sub par...My pan will periodically boil when set at 150 degrees F and controls only let user selections in 50 degree increments. 10 degree discrimination would be MUCH better if coupled with a more accurate sensor. This is the biggest reason for deduction a star.

Wattage: It would be very nice to have increments of 100 W rather than 300, 500, 700, 1000, 1200, 1400 and 1800 being your only options.

Overall, this is a very sturdy unit and easy to use. The pan that comes with it (which I consider to be a free bonus) is thin and flimsy. I did not expect to get a premium pan at this price, but it...

dan 5050: I received one Rosewill 1800 Watt Induction Cooker system and was surprised by the quality of the cooking unit and the included metal pot with glass lid. My wife and I found the packing material to be of good quality, which kept the three pieces of the system from damage during shipping and handling.
The instruction pamphlet was clear and well written. We cleaned all three pieces with a sponge and mild dish soap, rinsed the pieces (pan, lid, and top surface of cooking unit) and tested the system with the metal pan 1/2 filled with tap water. It was the first time we had seen an induction cooker in operation - and it took a few minutes for us to grasp what was happening, watching the water in the pan begin to boil in a short time when compared with our installed home propane stove.
I checked my wife's professional cooking pans (many sizes) with a strong magnet to be sure they would operate correctly, and all were found to attract the magnet.
My wife tested her largest pan the next day, simmering spices in coconut oil until they were a light brown, added pork chops and the glass lid, and
fiddled with the power until she had the perfect temperature to cook the chops. Some...
