Tanner: I don't know why other companies don't make their shovels like this. It almost turns a regular spade shovel into a scoop shovel. And the extended sides double as wider spots to put your foot for more downward digging pressure. This company also makes a "sharpshooter" shovel that has teeth down the sides that cuts through roots and gives it the name. I highly recommend these shovels.

Deniz Reisoglu: Good shovel. It can cut through small roots with no problem, larger roots need some strength.
It Seemed strong and well built but the handle snapped off after its second use. But I still use it without the handle.

Maria Bloom: This shovel is awesome! It's heavy duty, with wing back for pushing down deeper and I think it will be reliable and last forever. The only thing I don't like about it is it's weight, but that's to be expected with a long-handled steel shovel.

excited shrub: I have destroyed spades over the years just digging let alone digging up stumps. This makes a hard job a touch easier and made short work of an established buddlier stump. Haven't pushed it to its limit yet but I'm hoping it lasts longer than my previous spade
