Tyler and Maddison have had different unbringings but both have always felt out of place. This is a lovely story of them finding a place they belong and are happy in as individuals, whilst working towards their HEA relationship.
I will for sure be reading more of this Author.
I listed to the first half on audible via free read and listen. The narrator is good.

What a fun romance to read! And for those who think the knowledge holes were unrealistic - I've known women overwhelmed by exactly those issues! Such a blast to see the development of a healthy relationship, dealing with severe trust issues while falling in love. I enjoyed the trials, loved her best friends, and sighed at the fabulous happy-ever-after ending. Highly recommended!!

The clever play on words in the title alone – Roommaid (a funny take on “roommate”) -- made me want to love this romcom as a breakout fave of 2020. I clung to hope that it might give off the same debut vibes of brilliance as The Hating Game. That book has become the gold standard for me in originality, freshness, hilarity, bickering, and heartwarming romance. However, for all the sporadic smartness and fresh, entertaining banter which was quite impressive, it stumbled constantly in execution and a flat storyline. This romance meandered without any sizzle.
The premise had me totally vibing on a down-on-her-luck rich girl and a poor boy-turned-rich financier becoming unlikely roomies from opposite backgrounds, with a Cinderellaish twist of her living rent-free as his cleaning “maid.” Madison was cluelessly sassy as one of the “haves” who knows nothing about how the “have nots” actually live on a daily basis. The crux of it all is that I truly enjoy feeling the realness of these characters, especially Madison. She had insecurities that seemed illogical to some, but with Ms. Wilson providing the exposition and showing the relationships between her family and friends, she was able to start believing her worth.
At some points in the novel, she starts to see the ways she has been treated that have left her with low self-worth, self-esteem and difficulties trusting others. It’s evident that it’s not all brushed away and that’s real-life.
