Ronaqua Two-Stage Under Sink Water Filtration System with Direct Connect Installation

DWDW: The 2 stage filter system arrived with broken inlet and outlet plastic water line fittings. There are little shards of plastic in the box that were once the water line fittings. I dont know if I can even remove the remains and install new fittings without ruining the system.

Mark L.Mark L.: This product is great if installed properly. Yes, the instructions in the box are worthless, but if you look at the pictures on the product page on Amazon, they mostly diagram the proper procedure. The T-valve does not require extra parts. A standard faucet to shutoff hose is 1/2 and 3/8. You need to install the T between the faucet and the hose as both are then 1/2 (see my picture). Also make sure the hoses go into and out of the filter in the correct direction also as shown on the product page, otherwise the filter will not clean properly. The harmless cloudiness is caused by too much water pressure at the filter. If you adjust the blue valve (see my picture) to only have the valve about half open, cloudiness will not form. You should not use vaseline on plastic plumbing connectors, only plumbing silicone, but it was not necessary for me as nothing is leaking. All of the fittings sealed tight with minimal effort.

I completed the entire installation in about an hour. I would buy again.

jwr1945: I've installed 3 two-stage under sink water filters in the past 2.5 years, so I know how to install these units. This product package did not include any install instructions. Dumb.
This unit has "press-on" fittings, which I like (vs screw-on fittings which I've had poor experiences with- read leaks)
No leaks with this unit, so it gets 4 stars.

Edwin Mancilla: order product tuesday evening got it wednesday 4 pm, installed by 6 pm, everything included to make easy and flawless installation, it includes the hose which I couldn't see on the product description or pics, and was holding me from purchasing the product, maybe a better quality pp filter would make it excellent on taste, to the seller/manufacturer a bit better packing could help the product, one piece of tape on bottom of box and cushion carton on the sides inside the box to protect the product, my was flawless and in excellent condition, very very satisfied and intake water valve, faucet and materials were all excellent quality. if you have a bit plumbing knowledge it is a piece of cake to installed. I recommend installing the locks back on the hose connections to avoid accidental push in of the hoses.

mrcurie: I hesitated to buy this because of bad reviews but decided to give it a go. I'm glad that I did. It was packaged just fine; properly situated inside the box. Nothing was broken and everything went together just fine. There really are no instructions to speak of: however if you just remove the two funnel shaped pieces in the inlet (left) and outlet(right) by removing the little blue retainer clips you are able to simply push the hoses into the opening on each and then replace the retainer clips and they stay in place. The other end of the inlet hose hooks to the water line the same way after you place the 1/2inch inline part to the cold water line under the sink . This step may be the hardest part if you know nothing about pluming but you can do it. Make sure you have "plumers tape" before you begin and use it on all areas where you screw on a nut or pipe. The outlet line goes into the bottom of the chrome faucet by placing first the nut and then the little white Colette on the line; insert the white stud into the hose, place plumbers tape on the faucet threads and screw it on.
