Amos Ortiz: Excellent writer, nevertheless, I am a Spanish descendant and I sensed a tonality of animosity towards Spaniards. Makes me wonder, Did the Spanish nautical achievements during the early years of discovery cause our English brothers to feel envy?

ETA: There are no illustrations in this version of the book. If you want illustrations, make sure you read carefully if the version you are looking at has them. This is an abridged version and some of the edits seem to cut out important parts of the story - a page will end in the middle of a scene and when you flip the page to continue the story, it has move on to an entirely different scene.
Based on the reviews, it seems that a lot of the versions of this book that are sold on Amazon have this issue.
Although it doesn’t keep you from being able to follow the story, this version also has misspellings and grammatical errors.
Bottom line is that, if I were to buy this book again, I would try a different version.

Stan: Format un peu bizarre pour ce type de livre mais conforme , oeuvre original en anglais

David R Minor: Obviously a classic, but may not be of as much interest to readers now as it was in the 18th century. Prose style excellent, kept my attention through the whole book. Amazing how self sufficient an 18th century Englishman was.Wish it had a few illustrations which it did not.

Janice: I got this book to read for the summer. There is no table of contents, which I prefer when reading. The text is extremely tiny and hard to read. The chapters are crammed on the page without a page dividing them or a bold title to see clearly where it is. If this book would be the size of a regular sized book it would be about 300 pages not 150. Overall, the content is great to read, but the display of it is very poor.

Mr. B. Garrod: This is probably my fault for not really paying attention, but the book is almost magazine sized. Writing is also quite small. The story is well worth a read.

JamesJames: I've been a long-term fan of the book, and as far as the text is confirmed, there are no problems.
The book is rugged, being of a plastic-like nature, and the pages are crisp.
With regards to the font; smallish, but very legible, given the crisp contrast between the text and the page.

One little nagging thing about the book, that I have experienced, is how the print of the text seeps into the centre-fold of the pages, resulting in an excessive spreading of the pages when reading (as shown in the images provided).

Apart from that; Top Quality!
