jimmy: I have got this book to know more and in details how the engineers saved the building but unfortunately, it has some colored photos and general info for regular tourists and not for professionals

Marg Popkey: I visited Fallingwater in Pennsylvania about 20-25 years ago. At the time I bought a book from the book-store there as a gift, but didn't get one for myself. We have a wonderful opportunity to visit the area again and I bought this book to give my husband an understanding of the place in advance of the visit (he wasn't with me the first time there). This book is so well written, jam-packed with info, and the pictures are truly amazing. I especially loved historical notes from the family which give a glimpse about what it must have been like to live there.

J. Proper: A fantastic guide to one of the most beautiful houses in the world! Well written by the author with inside knowledge of the building and the people who created and lived in the building. But the best thing about this book is the pictures. Every aspect of the building is lovingly portrayed for our enjoyment and enlightenment. A must read for anyone interested in beautiful architecture and especially the work of Frank Llyod Wright.

EAmigo: Having lived in and around the architectural masterpiece from the late 40's to the mid-sixties and beyond, I have always been amazed at how many people can claim to know Fallingwater. I lived there during its use as a private home and before many of the subsequent changes to make it "authentic." We lived mostly in a nearby home supposedly designed by the FLW Fellowship for the dairy farm manager but we spent a lot of time working inside and outside Fallingwater and even living there, enjoying its magnificence. My father (Earl Friend Sr) became responsible for the maintenance of Fallingwater around 1950 and worked there for Mr Kaufmann and then his son, Junior, prior to his donation of Fallingwater to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy ca. 1963. I worked there in the summers between my high school and college semesters. My father helped build FW in 1936 from the local sandstone ledges, having grown up on a farmstead abutting the Kaufmann property.

My father continued to work for the WPC for several more decades and part time after that until the late 1990's. When the new visitor's center was built in the late 70's based on plans by Paul Mayen, the only photos taken prior...

Larry A. Woodin: In the introduction Ms. Waggoner raises the question of whether another book on Fallingwater would be useful, "hasn't it all been said; what is new; what more can be shown?" Clearly there was a great deal more to say, to learn and to see and in this book all of it is said gracefully and intelligently, elucidated clearly and illustrated beautifully. BRAVO! This is a work for study and contemplation. Spend time, meditate on the concepts, absorb - or enter into - the photographs and revel in more than you can ever gain from a single visit, or even many visits, to this compelling masterwork.

I have had the privilege of visiting Fallingwater many times, in all seasons, under many weather conditions and many times of day and night. What a gift to have a book that captures such a diverse range of perceptions through clear description, thoughtful interpretation and phenomenal photography. Each of the authors included in this volume has studied this World Treasure thoroughly over many years. We are privileged to share in the fruits of seven author's experience and wisdom. Each of them has written on a particular aspect of the building and its site, its contents, the history of the...
