BlueSkies: It worked great for almost 6 mos. until the key, even the two spares, no longer worked to unlock the cylinder. Have to spend 5-10 min. maneuvering the key, cylinder and top and bottom units. I don’t want to take a chance of it no longer working at all leaving me stranded, so no other choice than to stop using it because the return date was 90 days. Fortunately, Kia installed upgraded software to avoid theft. Very disappointed!!
UPDATE: Received an email and a refund from the seller. Thank you!
A few days later, I was thinking, what a waste of excellent equipment, and how can it be fixed, so I went to the hardware store, picked up some WD-40, sprayed it inside the cylinder and, it works great again!

JSR: Es cómodo al poder encogerse y creo que realiza su función muy bien. Disuasorio y creo que no tan fácil de abrir. Los profesionales si quieren finalmente podrán, pero este les pondría en un aprieto. La cerradura está abajo, mirando hacia dentro y es un tipo de cierre especial muy fino.
Además está diseñado para no dañar ni el pedal ni el volante.
Lo recomiendo.

MB: I use this daily on a 2017 Honda CR-V. I have mastered using it but the rest of the family struggles as they don't drive it regularly. I find it easy to put on. Given my size I find it a bit more challenging to get in the vehicle sometimes and unlock it, because my knee won't pass under it. So far so good.

MM: UPDATE: 8.16.23 - After writing my initial review, the company reached out to inquire about my issue. After a few messages exchanged and pictures submitted to show the product issue, the company was professional, friendly, and understanding. They shared that my feedback would be passed along to their manufacturer yo improve this quality issue and asked if I would like a replacement. I agreed and within a few days, I received my replacement item. Great customer service experience and glad Im able to securely lock my car again.

After using this daily since purchase on 3/15/23, the internal rod that hooks onto the pedal came unscrewed and disconnected from the external tension bar/locking rod. I cannot find a way to fix this and now will have to re-purchase this product. If the seller sees this, I love the product and really would like to know if I can fix this on my own. I no longer can securely lock my steering wheel with this product. Thanks for your understanding and will need to re-purchase after less than 5 months.

Christopher D.: This is a good product, but let me say first that the manufacturer originally sent a very damaged and used item - shame on them! The first indication something was wrong was the damaged box. I opened it up to have the broken styrofoam cover the floor. The end that goes around the brake or clutch had warped rubber that looked as if someone used it almost like a cane on the cement. The end that extends out did so with difficulty. The extra strips were missing, too. Hmm, damaged box, warped and damaged product, and missing accessories…. I paid for a new item and they sent something that should have been disassembled and recycled.

Why am I giving it 3 stars? Well, the replacement came in 2 days. The packaging was intact, all the accessories were included, and the new product works smoothly. It’s easy to use, engaging the lock and removing. Don’t be put off by the solidity or size! Some folks may think it’s too hefty, haha. This is a well made product.
