Retractable Clothesline Dryer - 5 Lines - 17145-1 by Household Essentials

Rosie: My husband installed this and said it wasn't hard, so I take his word on that one. The line sometimes needs to be fussed with to get all strands to pull out evenly, but once I got the hang of it, it was not a big deal. It holds the clothes just fine, and pulls back in to clear the pathway when not in use. There seems to always be one of the strands that sags a bit, but it is still use-able. The first time I used it one of the lines crossed over to the wrong pulley channel and it took some work to get it back in its groove, but once done, all is well. I live in a rainy climate (Oregon coast), so hope that the metal casing is well-coated so it doesn't rust, but I've only had it a month so it is too soon to know. Anyway, it's nice to have the option to hang out the sheets when it isn't raining, so I'm glad I made the purchase and I would recommend this for anyone that doesn't want, or have room for, a clotheline.

TRey: The clothesline was easy to install and blended into the white edging of my porch, plus it is still removable if I desire. The line tightens without much effort and I am able to fill the entire 5 lines with wet clothes without a problem.

Robert oehmen: The last time I had lasted almost 10 years, so I replaced it with the same kind that I had before so far I have not used it, but it should last me 10 years for sure

Craig Freeman: I like this retractable clothesline, but it really needs to be longer than 36" when fully extended, and have more sturdy attachment points as the plastic are bound to give out after a season or two. Once you can find a good spot for it, it does the job well.

Stephen Butzler: The clothsline itself is great. It was super easy to mount, it locks well, and the retracting mechanism does a good job of winding the cables tightly to hold heavier things like blankets. Unfortunately the hook that it comes with is terrible. It's in the middle of the clothsline so unless you put all the weight perfectly centered it will tilt and keep coming unhooked, dropping your clothes in the grass. I ended up picking up two hooks from the hardware store that hold the entire bar instead of just the little handle in the middle. Now it works perfectly.
