Kindle Customer: Keeps accurate temp & humidity but honestly, I find it very difficult to see the display. The numbers aren't as vividly clear and with the light gray background, it's difficult. I have to open my tank to see it and that kind of defeats the purpose because I let the heat and humidity out with doing so. Oh well...still keeping it for now because it is accurate.

MKS11: But after a few months I started to have problems with 1 of 2 I purchased. I thought it got wet or the high humidity in my Dart Frog cage ruined it. After letting it dry out I was still having problems with just the one. I replaced the battery and all seems fine. I purchased an Energizer 309/389 and it fits and so far working as it should. I’ll update this review in a week or two and we’ll see if the battery fixed it. 9/18/22
12/6/22 the new battery worked for a short time and it just stopped showing anything on the screen. I just purchased a 3rd unit and that has been working great since I put it in the cage and away from direct water. The humidity is still a constant 95+ but it’s doing fine. May have gotten a bad unit. I just really like the look of these so I’ll stick with it until another goes bad.

CNH: This is a clever little thermometer/hygrometer, and from what I can tell it is really quite accurate.
Setup is simple: open the battery case and flip the battery over so it will turn on. Use a toothpick to push the tiny hole in the back to switch from * C to F.
Setup was a bit quirky for me. We set this up for a couple different critters (ball python, bearded dragon, hognose and canaries) to see what the range is. In a nutshell, press "set" for 3 seconds and the display will flash. Toggle through setting the high and low temp and the humid/dry humidity settings. Directions are to then press and hold the button for 3 seconds to leave setup and enter operation mode, or simply wait 20 seconds and it would happen automatically.
The first time we tried setting it up was a bit confusing . . . our room temperature and humidity were both wrong according to the settings so the display kept blinking. JUST LIKE IT DID DURING SETUP. So we thought we were not able to get out of setup mode, which was incorrect. The display was blinking because the temp and humidity were out of range.
The other thing that I have a love/hate with is the display itself. The numbers are large and easy...

Jimmy B.: Great value and works wonderful. Cant beat them for the price... you cant beat them period. They are very high quality and I havent had one come loose yet! I have mine set low down by the substrate in my turtles tank and I wish these had a backlight feature etc. But they are so cheap, I just cant even complain. Basically, they are a little hard to read in the DARK. The one I have near the top of her tank is very easy to read. Large clear display, really I cant complain at all, just had to mention it. If you're on a budget, these will more than get the job done. Heck, even if you arent on a budget, save a bunch of money and pick up a few of these. Mine work fine after quite some time still and read the same as units several times their price. Highly recommended, especially if you are buying lots of these for several pets, or plants etc. FYI, I also use one in my southern facing window cactus garden that is supplemented with LED lighting, gotta keep the temp and humidity in check and some of my cacti are 20+ years old! I still trust them to these units. Work perfectly for that purpose too! I'll be buying more as I need them and I'll be looking for THESE!
