Replacement Key Fob for 2008-2012 Honda Accord Coupe Keyless Entry Remote

Benjamin: I mean its a carbon copy of what a Honda key (for me specifically, it was for my 2012 Accord Coupe 2.4l), and is incredibly cheap. Do note that the key is unmilled, and not programmed yet.

A. S.: Item didn’t work. We contacted customer service & was told to try many things. We even tried replacing the battery. Now, we were told to return the item but when I printed their return label, I still have to pay shipping. The return should be free!

This was a cheaper alternative to buying a key fob from Honda dealer or the reputable Honda Parts dealer online located in IL. I purchased this and was wondering if it would work becasue of all the reviews. I looked up on youtube how to get the car into programming mode. This ONLY programs the key to the locks, it DOES not program the transponder to start the car.

Honda dealer wouldn't cut this key becasue they said it has history of breaking their expensive key cutting machine. Hardware store wouldn't cut it becasue they can't replace if they break it in cutting process.

I called a Locksmith and he cut and programmed my keys. Locksmith said usually the programing of the locking and unlocking can be problematic. Was happy to know I was able to program that. He cut the key and programed the transponder for the anti theft system, $95.00. Beats the Dealer of $160 for cutting and programing one key and that doesn't include purchase of key fob.

Works great for at least 2 months so far.
