Replacement Cartridge for Culligan D-15 Basic Drinking Water Filtration System

Nurse RandyNurse Randy: If you're a first-timer getting a cartridge & filter, this is a good buy, it has almost everything. It did not include the bracket that allows you to mount it or the tool that allows you to unscrew it. I bought some extra small hoses and ended up not needing them cuz it had a sm. hose included. If you already have the hoses and the filters then there are probably cheaper cartridges you can get that would do the same. Now that I have the filters and hoses I'll probably buy a comparable, cheaper cartridge and put it on the other side of my water softener. The filter that came with it lasted about 1 1/2 mo.

LadyCashLadyCash: This has improved the water quality. The quality of the canister is good. It looks find sitting outside of our RV. I like that I can sit in on the ground. There is not weird angle like with the stand Blue RV water filter. We have been in some really bad hard water places. It was so bad in one place even our dogs were sick as we were. I won’t go without it. I change the filter once a month in really hard bad water. I recommend a water meter to see what ppm are before and after. Even in the worst water 980 ppm it cut it in half. That is saying something!!

Etiquette: Though I have not tested the water for the effective removal of contaminants, I just bought my 2nd filter because we loved how the first one improved the taste of water at the campgrounds we visit. After one camping trip with our 2nd filter we agree this is a great product. I must note that it did not completely remove the excessive rust from the water, but that didn't bother us.

As much as the ice maker filters cost for brand names like Frigidaire Whirlpool etc. The average cost of replacement for one of the name brands is $60 to $80 sometimes even higher. Great deal on this one. The manufacturers average 500 gallons for filter. I sell this is an alternative lifetime filter for the life of your refrigerator. Customers are happy I install it in line behind the refrigerator bypassing the current installed manufacturer unit.
Simple process.
if you're handy and you're tired of buying filters every 6 months this is your solution.
When installing pay attention to which way the arrow points to get your water flow correct.
Then just think it's water in - water out
when disconnecting the lines to your current refrigerator ice maker.
First off turn off your water to the ice maker completely at the wall.
Remove the two screws out that mount your water inlet valve in the back.
Pull the inlet out with the water lines...
