Will C.: I can’t get denatured alcohol in California anymore so I use this in the alcohol stove on my boat. Unfortunately. Although they claim it burns clean all my pots and pans including the stove grill are covered in black evertime it’s used.

Muntz: Little pricey, but the only fuel I have used in my fireplace that has zero smell while burning. Gives off a great yellow flame (after warming up.) You can smell the alcohol when you pour it but it’s not obnoxious, and after it is lit, no alcohol smell at all. In my fireplace, a half bottle will burn for about 2.5-3hrs. So again, a little pricey, but with no real fireplace, it’s worth it for the ambiance.

CTH: Moda Flame fuel is a wonderful, nearly odorless ( very minor alcohol smell at first that quickly resolves ) source of flame. Although we have a 100+ year old house, it does not have a fireplace, something we have always regretted. This has given us the ability to create a small but very beautiful and functional fireplace on our coffee table.

Although it was purchased solely for aesthetics, surprisingly, it puts off quite a bit of heat. The flame site directly under our ceiling fan and when it it reversed, the temperature in our family room raises 3-4 degrees.

I am very pleased with both the fuel and the fireplace that burns it.

Bharathi Vallalar: Bioethanol fuel is a great renewable, clean energy source. This is a great idea, and works wonderfully in Moda Flame's fireplaces. Only took off one star, because this is not available for Prime (I am fully aware this is not the product's fault, but this was the only problem I had with the order). I ordered both the fuel and the fireplace, and while the fireplace arrived the very next day, it took the fuel weeks to arrive even though it shipped immediately. In that time, I could only stare at my fireplace longingly in my frozen apt. Moda Flame, please stop using FedEx to ship. FedEx takes the scenic route around the country before delivering items. I have had this experience many times, and UPS is FAR speedier. Other than that, awesome.
