PT: Like someone mentioned they are not as thick as US military cans and are indeed made in china, however aside from that they are pretty nice cans at a pretty good price considering you couldnt find any at all not too long ago.
They appear to be slightly bigger than other cans I have (some made in china some not) and the bar under the front latch is slightly bent forward. I found out about the size difference after placing these cans in the MTM MAC 50 ammo can trays and they are a bit snug going in compared to all the others, but still fit.
There are slight defects in the paint being off a bit and very slight dings in just a few places. The rubber seal inside the lid is actually different and different compared to every other can I have, with it beong a little thicker and a tad softer for give, but still very stiff and sturdy.
I would buy these cans again, yes. Especially at a little over $18.50 a piece.

Gene Crawford: I have purchased three 4-packs of these ammo boxes for ammo, primer and powder storage. I am very pleased. They have a seal and all of mine came with its own desiccant pack.
I have prime thus shipping was free and speedy. They are metal, sturdy, and for the cost per unit for new, they cannot be beat.
Mine are manufactured in China, but they are perfect for my use. Are USA mil-spec new or surplus better? Yes, marginally- so marginal that the difference was irrelevant to me; let alone paying $75.00 in additional shipping! The handles are slightly thicker; walls and lid the difference was the thickness of the metal, its hundredths maybe even thousandths of an inch - for me, didn't matter. I'm happy. I'll purchase more as needed.

josh miller: These 50 cal ammo cans are decent. HOWEVER, they did not seal water tight on the back corner. I had to adjust the way the metal held the gasket. When closing one of the back corner's, the back right side on every can, the gasket would slip inside instead of wedging between the edge. It was a bit of a pain, honestly, to get them right. Once I got the gasket to seal properly I was satisfied with the purchase, but I shouldn't have to do anything to make them work. I bought 4 for $75 which is as good a price I could find for new metal cans on Amazon. I would say the 50 cal cans are worth the price, but the company needs to fix the gasket issue. It's just not centered with the edge of the edge.
We buy these cans so that our ammunition is safe from the outside environment and a water-tight seal is essential. If the can doesn't protect our ammo, which is an extremely expensive investment, it is useless!
I DO NOT recommend the 30 cal cans from this company. They wouldn't seal. I checked them all by filling them with water. No matter how much I tried to fix the seal it just wouldn't work. There were also small drips coming from the bottom corner, at the end of the welds. I...

Goddard Heriot: Having purchased a number of metal ammo cans over the years, of varying quality, I can definitively say that the Redneck Convent 50 Cal metal ammo cans are the nicest and most consistent quality ammo cans I have seen. The rubber seal under the lid is of the proper density that it creates a perfect airtight seal for your contents. The seal is not dry and brittle, nor is it too spongy/soft as I have witnessed with some other new cans. Additionally, unlike some other brand new 50 cal metal ammo cans from other manufacturers which emit a horrid odor when you open them, the Redneck Convent ammo cans have no odor. They are nicely and evenly painted. They are also individually packed with protective bubble wrap for shipping, therefore, they actually look new when you get them. Not that they stay looking perfect once you start stacking them. They stack perfectly and the soldering is consistent reflecting good quality controls. This is my second 4-pack of Redneck Convent ammo cans that I have purchased. I will not buy any other brand. Last but not least, they are American made...quality American made!
