Every single one the batteries in my pack was dented somewhere, so I dropped 1 star for that.
That being said none were leaking and they all worked perfectly fine despite the dents. I used three of them in a bright LED lantern while camping and these will have no problem running a light like that for literally days.

I purchased this on May 8, 2014 to use with my Coleman lantern. As you can see it has been about 4 years and it still works. I usually use the Coleman CPX 6 Rechargeable Power Cartridge but I bought these Rayovac D batteries as backup. Thank goodness I did because we recently had a windstorm and the rechargeable cartridge died. I was worried these Rayovac D batts died as well since it has been quite some years. Although it has a 10 year power guarantee shelf life, we just never know! I do not use the lantern for anything else other than during power outage. Last week was the first time I used the batteries. Otherwise, it pretty much just remain on the shelf. I'm just glad it worked when I needed it.

UPDATE April 26, 2020
It's time for another update. It is now April 2020 and the batteries are still working! No corrosion or leaks either. It is 6 years now since I purchased the batteries. I have about another 4 years left, which is 2024. Is it too soon to give it 5 stars or should I wait even longer?
