Ignacio: Lo necesitaba porque el HDMI me queda a la izquierda del portátil, lejos del monitor. El DP a la derecha con lo que me es más cómodo para organizar los cables. Se ve igual que con el HDMI y se oye por los altavoces del monitor. Eso es configurable si prefieres usar otros altavoces o auriculares . Misma resolución y frecuencia que con HDMI

Santa (Jonathan) Hawes: I have to give the seller a great rating, because it wasn't until AFTER I received the adapter did I realize that my Dell 7010 laptop doesn't have a mini-DP port, only two USB-C display ports. I will hold onto this for later use.

Stephen Warren: This adapter works fine for me in configuration laptop mini DP -> this adapter -> DP cable -> monitor DP port, using 3840x2160@60Hz resolution. I purchased this model to try and solve a nasty flickering picture I had when using a different mini DP adapter, and it did:-) Buy this for 4K resolution instead of Amazon part B00HNF0KF0. I don't use 8K resolution, so haven't tested that, but this adapter doesn't claim to support it anyway.

Yo: I have a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor that came with a DP-to-DP cable, and I can confirm that this DP-to-mini-DP adapter is able to display properly from my 2015 MacBook to the monitor.
I had previously tried *many* HDMI cables, which didn't work with the ultrawide monitor and kept displaying stretched out, rectangular pixels. So I'm really glad that this adapter, plus the DP cable that the monitor came with, were able to render the pixels correctly.
However, I feel like I should take one star off for the fact that it wobbles a bit in *both* of my mini-DP ports (the 2015 MacBook has 2 of them). It makes me worried about the longevity of the product.
