Skitched814: We have ditched cable TV and gone to streaming. Our TV is mounted on the wall, though, so in order to attach a "Dongle" (Amazon Firestick) we were going to have to have a power cord running down the wall, whereas all of the other cables were installed in the wall. By using this connector I was able to connect the Firestick to the HDMI cable that had previously been used to connect the cable box to the TV. It worked great and the power cord for the Firestick is now in the cabinet where the cable box used to be!

Thrifty3: It's as simple as it gets. Plug it into the cable and the other end into the device you're trying to connect. Boom! No complaints. It works perfectly fine with our aging TV on the wall and a brand new 4k fire tv stick.

polly: I have a verrrry short Thunderbolt 2.0 to HDMI cable to display my late 2015 Macbook Pro to a second monitor. I have a longer HDMI to HDMI cable. Now I want to display to a TV that is too far for the short cable, so I want to use the longer HDMI to close the distance.

The adapter is way cheaper than buying another, longer, Thunderbolt to HDMI cable to display from Macbook to tv (plus what else would I need an old Thunderbolt to HDMI cable? there's more versatility in buying a small female to female HDMI adapter).

No complaints. The picture quality and any other results are exactly the same as when I plug the long HDMI cable directly into another laptop.

LAFLAF: I needed to connect my new NIUTO Portable Monitor to my Raspberry Pi. The problem was that the monitor has a mini HDMI in and the RPi has a micro HDMI out. The monitor came with a mini HDMI to HDMI cable and the RPI came with a micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Thus, the VCE HDMI Coupler HDMI 4K Female to Female Connector Adapter 2 Pack was the most cost-effective solution versus getting a dedicated micro HDMI to mini HDMI cable. As an added benefit, I can use the adapter to connect my Roku stick to the monitor for a portable TV system.
