I love that its natural and my hair feels so healthy after. I have never had a problem with color not depositing before. I always using boiling water and apple cider vinegar. Leave it on for 60 mins with a shower cap, and while alternating hot towels I warmed in the dryer. It has always workes for me in the past. This time I wasted 2 hours of my life...👎

N. Fraass: It's been a while since i used Henna to color my hair and the first time using this particular brand. I was not too optimistic on it being able to cover up my gray roots but am so pleased with the results! I wish I had thought to do before and after photos. I did mix the powder with coffee and apple cider vinegar as instructed, double wrapped/covered my hair and intermittently used the hairdryer to heat up my hair under the first hair wrap. It worked great. No grays or "highlights". I used the medium brown color which is a touch darker than I was hoping for so I'll probably try the light brown next time around. As with all henna hair coloring products I've used, it does leave an earthy scent in your hair for a little while.

TM ConwayTM Conway: UPDATE: It's been over 6 months since I first started using henna and I will never go back to "regular" dye. I have learned to mix this better and I don't have to use a full cup for a whole-head dye job. I can get away with using about 3/4 of a cup and I make it a little thinner & leave it on longer. I have left this on for as long as overnight & get much better results with a thinner mix. The trick is that the henna only "works" as long as it stays damp on the hair so I cover or wrap it with a small damp cloth or bandana, then cover that with plastic caps or plastic wraps to keep the moisture from drying out. For my afro and semi-coarse 4B/4C hair this lasts about 7 to 8 weeks before my gray starts to peek through. With the Burgundy, my grey turns more ashy-Burgundy than the darker parts of my hair. I can use just about 5 tablespoons of the henna to do a touch-up on the edges when the grey peeks.

This seems to add strength to my hair. I still get breakage if I don't take time to detangle, but my overall hair health is better than when I was using regular dye. And this is, surprisingly, much less messy than dye. By the way, I mentioned the smell of the henna. It...

EnvyNoneEnvyNone: I've been wanting to to try henna on my natural hair for a while. I have stubborn grays and the box stuff wasn'the cutting it. I'd also gotten tired of the chemicals in box hair dye. I searched and researched.Facebooked and watched YouTube video. I was going to give up because people kept saying it was difficult to work with. I came across this product. It was reasonably priced, shipped fast and the pics of the user's looked great. I ordered it before I could talk myself out of it. I had previously gotten my hair dyed and it was a debacle. My hair turned orange. I'don't had another stylist go over it with a burgundy rinse which corrected my Home Depot colored hair. The rinse was fading so I got the burgundy henna. I followed the directions to use half of the mixture and add freshly brewed black tea to activate it. I also used 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to color my grays better.
