Godrej Nupur Henna Hair Dye for Natural Color and Shine

Kirsty Sinclair: Did my first henna today with this product. Previously used Lush Maron. This one went on so smoothly with little mess. Only used distilled warm water and a few splashes of aloe Vera juice. Dye release 2 hours, time on hair 3 hours. Put on a shower cap and toque and got to work doing Saturday chores. Rinsed it out in the tub with a handheld shower wand. I’m amazed how easily it rinsed out. Didn’t even have to use conditioner when it was all out. Got a little henna on my forehead and have a bit of staining but it’s light on my white skin so I don’t think it will be a problem. Now I’m a natural blonde and really want a burgundy tone. I think it will be perfect in 48 hours. Great product easy to use and just what I wanted.

Saamia: This henna is a beautiful color in the sun but if you have black hair it will not show in the dark but the smell isn’t as bad like other henna dyes! The main problem I had using this product is that it took really I mean really long to get out and I only have medium hair not thick but overall it’s a pretty good product!

Me: Love love Henna. This is the third brand I’ve tried and although I really haven’t had any complaints about any of them I have to say there are definitely some extra great things about this one. Huge bag for great price and all the extra ingredients good for your hair. Contains jaramansi to prevent graying hair - score! And lots of other great things in it. It was ground together well (powdery) and Smelled kind of like tea. Pleasant I would say.

I mixed mine with some avacado oil, coconut oil, and calamansi (Filipino lime). That was just my substitute for lemon because we had it in the house and I figured why not. The great thing about Henna is you can add what you want. So for people who have never used henna- it’s not like buying a box of chemical hair dye. It takes more time and care but I feel it covers grays longer and makes my hair more healthy so it’s worth it to me.

I make my mix with warm water and whatever else I want, apply immediately, and throw on a plastic hair net from the dollar store and leave on as long as I can. I also use plastic gloves from the dollar store. (This bag comes as is with no gloves).The longer the better because henna is good...
