BM: After decades of using chemical dyes to cover my grey hair, and noticing that my hair was getting coarser, I finally switched to henna and indigo. After the third application in three months, I now have total coverage of my grey hair, and the hair feels soft and very healthy (2 step process: day 1, 75% henna + 25% indigo; day 2: 100% indigo). Yes, it's a messy application process and it's 2 days of 4-hour applications, but for the health of my hair, I am more than happy to continue. For my next (4th) application in a month's time, planning to do a single 40% henna, 60% indigo treatment.

jennann: I have used henna and indigo to color my hair black for a long time. I have a sensitivity to chemical dyes and am able to use henna and indigo without any problems. I used another brand previous to this one. I find the quality of this one to be better, and the price is fair.

SimplySavvyLife: No problems with this product. I have medium-brown hair whose color I like to enrich without chemicals, harsh root lines, and to cover a few emerging grays. I don't like how orange/brassy the henna comes out on its own but I like the deep brown reddish tones resulting from applying indigo in a separate application after my henna application. It results in a dark chocolatey brown with deep red tones. The hues can be tweaked depending how you mix & how long you leave either of them on. Henna develops and bonds in an acidic environment while indigo likes alkaline so they don't develop or take well together but can make some pretty, deep reddish brown colors together especially if you apply them separately in 2 steps, henna first.

Bluebirdie: Original review: I have used a few other brands of Indigo powder and henna dyes (all purchased on Amazon) with great results and no side effects. I purchased Henna Guys Indigo powder to give it a try based on great review. The Indigo dye process started fine. But right after leaving Henna Guys Indigo on my hair for two hours, I developed severe headache and nausea to the point of throwing up. The headache persisted a few hours after I thoroughly washed it off. Also the Henna Guys Indigo color did not take after two hours on hair that was dyed with Henna. Because it's past the return date, I could no longer return it.

Every person is different. I have to rate it one star based on my personal experience. For anyone who's new to this brand, I suggest give the powder a try right after receiving. This way you'll know if there's an allergic reaction right away.

EDIT: My one star review was from mixing this with water and a bit of salt, developed for 15 min, then left on for 2 hr. Since then I've tried modifications as such: mixing this with a teaspoon of baking soda and water, developed for 15 min, then left on for 40 min. The result was reddish brown and no headache. I...

Florence B.: Henna and Indigo Powder has now changed my hair, from fried and absolutely knackered hair from too many chemical dyes, bleaches I tried everything to bring my hair back to normal as I don't like cuting my hair because I like my lenghts. I stopped every single chemical dyes for 2 months to let my hair breath. I then, cut the ends a tinny bit just to tell the hair to start growing, my roots reached about 10cm and then I decided to dye my hair with henna, but couldn't find any good quality ones without chemicals as the first black henna dye I did made my hair even drier. So I wasn't trusting henna and indigo powder until I found this one, and this one is like a miracle! Everyone has noticed the shine of my hair since Ive been using it, and only used it once before people realise how shinny it was, so decided to buy it again. My hair has never been in such great condition since like 2 years of damage to it, so I recommend it FOR SURE ! I would add a picture but sadly I am still dying it with henna right now (as it is very long hahaha) :P

AnushriAnushri: This product is great and so is the service. I was looking for the herbal alternative to chemical hair dyes/colors as they were ruining my hair. It is then I came to know about indigo powder. Though I am using indigo powder of different brand since six months, I used this brand for the first time and it gave amazing results. I usually use the indigo powder with henna paste. I used to add some lemon juice/apple cider vinegar to henna and soak it overnight or for four hours. In the morning I used to prepare the indigo powder paste as per guidelines and mix it up with henna paste and apply it and left it for 3 hours. But, this made my scalp very itchy and hot as lemon/ACV are very acidic. Since henna needs an acidic agent to release color, I switched to Amla ( Indian gooseberry) powder and the problem of itchy scalp solved. Since I have many grays, henna often turned my hair color into copper-orange which I never liked. I wanted to have dark colored hair and indigo powder fulfilled my wish.
But, do not apply it without henna(if you have gray hair) because it will turn your hair green.
