RhodesiaAmazon Customer: I have been using this product on my hair, and my mom's hair for over 25 years. It has great coverage for grey hair. I add a little leave in conditioner to the mix, an voila great coverage, and softness is the result. This brand is good for the money spent.

Meezer Mia: Conventional chemical hair dyes caused my scalp to itch & burn. My stylist recommended that I try foils as the dye doesn't touch the scalp. It worked but within a week my roots started to show. At over $90 a treatment, this is just not acceptable! So I started looking for natural alternatives.
I've known about henna for years but had heard that non-red colors were achieved by mixing with toxic metals, so was surprised to learn that pure, natural options are now available. Rainbow henna promises a range of color options. With some trepidation, I tried the dark brown henna-indigo mix.
It was surprisingly easy and much less messy than I expected. I mixed the henna-indigo powder with fresh-brewed coffee to the consistency of thick-ish cake batter, poured it in a plastic applicator bottle, pulled on gloves, parted my hair & applied to my roots starting at the forehead going back. After applying several rows of the mixture, I massaged it into the roots, covered with a plastic shower cap plus towel on top of shower cap. I omitted the apple cider vinegar as I didn't have any on hand but will add it the next time. 70 minutes later, it rinsed off easily with...

S. Morris: I purchased this multi-pack to add to another container I had already purchased at Whole Foods. I have very long, thick hair, so the three containers together gave me the perfect amount. This dye is a mixture of indigo and henna. I also added 1/3 cup of amla powder since I have hard-to-color grays. I added brewed coffee instead of plain distilled water, and I used about 3/4 cup of apple cider vinegar instead of 2 Tbsp (to compensate for the addition of the amla powder). I ended up adding extra water, because this is a super thick, coarse mixture. As I started to apply the product, I realized that I should have added even more water, as it was quite "gloppy" and didn't have a smooth, pastelike texture. I sectioned off my hair in 2-inch sections and started applying the glop on the hair at the nape of my neck. I very quickly discovered that this is a messy, messy process. I was trying to be as neat as possible, because I am a clean freak, but it was just impossible. The next time I "henndigo" my hair I will sit in our bathtub and use a portable mirror. Adding the additional water probably would have helped. Regardless, I was able to get all of my hair covered and piled on top of my...

Tanya: I was forced to start coloring my hair due to aging :’) went for the most healthy alternative. I have medium brown hair but that turned my roots orange. I now mix 1/2 medium brown w 1 whole dark brown and I like it. Isn’t the best at covering grays ironically.. but it does it’s job.
