Mrs S: I bought the Ivory pen, as my grout is an off white colour. This is a pretty good match, a bit whiter than I would like, but the colour looks ok. My bathroom is fully tiled, and one pen has done all the tiles. I did buy some of the replacement nibs though, and used 4 nibs altogether, as they don’t last very long. Only time will tell if it is long lasting, but I would prefer to use these pens once every year or two if needed than
have all the mess and hassle of getting the grouting replaced. All in all, very pleased with the result.

Queensheba230: This is a larger size grout pin. I would prefer the smaller size as it is easier to fill in the small lines. The felt tip got detached form the base while using. Not the easiest thing to use but doable. Looks ok. As I said I prefer the smaller grout pens as they are easier to work with.

Bryan K.: I have a 4' x 5' shower and the shower floor grout was beginning to look bad. The walls were still OK. The grout is a light taupe, so I tried the ivory. It went on relatively easily - took maybe less than an hour to do the shower floor, being careful to stay on the grout lines. I used light pressure on the tip and kept the tip wet with the paint from the pen. After I would do a small section, some damp paper towels would easily clean any paint that got on the tiles themselves. Upon finishing the floor tiles, it didn't feel like there was much paint left in the pen and the tip was still in usable condition. However, the color of the paint was too light in color for my application - closer to an off white and didn't match the other grout very well. The pen was relatively inexpensive, so I thought I'd give it a try. After several weeks worth of showers, the paint seems to be holding up well on the grout lines. It would be nice if the company offered additional color choices, and color chip samples to determine color compatibility before trying the product.

SibinaSibina: We bought a home that has tile kitchen counters and it’s been a nightmare to keep them clean. I actually regrouted them and they still got yellow/brown after time/water exposure.

I bought a second pen after the first one’s tip got totally shredded. Like someone else said, I had a hard time applying it and there was lots left but I couldn’t use it.

This was user error. It turns out you really need to push the pen down repeatedly for about 30 times. I think it’s mentioned in the listing but not on the pen, itself, or the packaging.

When you see a small pool of the sealant you are good to go. It glides on very easily compared to my first attempt and was a breeze. I’ll be able to use the whole contents of this pen. Just keep shaking the pen and repeatedly pushing down as you start to notice the pen tip isn’t gliding as well anymore.

Very happy with the application and looking forward to seeing how this lasts.

mark feiner: I bought two of these, hoping to freshen up the grout on a bathroom floor. The package said "Ivory" but it came out as bright white. I kept looking at the package to make sure I had it right--yup "Ivory". I thought maybe it would fade to ivory eventually, so I used it for about a quarter of the floor. The whole time, the paint did not come out smoothly--I had to shake it and press hard every few tiles and, even then, it came out grudgingly and made me work really my arm. Assuming that was how it was supposed to be (it's not), I ordered a few more pens. They arrived but they were actually IVORY! The contrast of the white and yellowish ivory looked terrible. So I went to Home Depot and brought a different brand to cover up the first effort and finish the floor. Not only have the colors been consistent, but the paint comes out easily and smoothly and they last much longer!! This is the first bad review I've written, but I really want to spare people this experience if possible!

Eric EldardEric Eldard: Despite the colors being a little different from my expectations, I'm giving these five stars. They're easy to use, long-lasting, and the result is attractive. I've even used them to touch up other stuff around the house.

For reference, here's white, ivory, light grey, and beige. Not too far off from their guide, but don't be fooled by the caps. I probably needed what they're calling "winter grey", which I couldn't find on Amazon or elsewhere when I needed it, but looks to be available now.

I get why some folks might've said they don't work: the tips are somewhere between a brush and a felt-tip and it's easy to imagine crushing one with too much force. However, I found them to be sturdy and it was easy to apply the right pressure. Never felt I was even close to crushing one. Will buy again.
