Pyle Portable Washer with Upgraded Features

Kimberley S: I bought this portable washer/spin dryer combo at the end of July 2023. I have held off writing a review because I wanted to use it for a while to get used to it. Well, I am used to it and I love it.
I use the washer in my bathtub and fill it with the hand held shower head. I purchased a very low step stool to raise the machine off the tub floor and it works really well.
I am older and I live alone so I do not have huge loads of laundry. This little machine is great - a perfect size for small loads. I even do my sheets, one at a time and it does a good job . I am very happy with my purchase - so Thank you!
P.S. I store the machine in a closet when not in use and it is light enough that I have no problem moving it in or out. I just wanted to add that this little washer/spinner combo is very quiet!

clay shinn: So just to get this out the way, this thing wasn't even on my radar. Never thought about, or even considered buying a compact washer...until the world's filthiest puppy arrived. 🐶 We were using old towels to spot clean her, and her filty paws, and didn't want those in our human washer. My wife just said after the dog laundry piled up..."I wish they made small washing machines." That's when the light bulb went off...check Amazon.

That search led me to this washer. It was reasonably priced, and had decent reviews, so i took a chance...I'm glad i did. This thing is tiny, so it doesn't take up much space at all. It's very easy to set up, so only minimal assembly is required. It's a very straight forward process to wash, and spin dry. It doesn't hold many articles of clothing, but it get them CLEAN! The only issue(s) I have, is the vibration of the little spin, and the noise it makes. Those are only small detractors from an awesome little machine.

It does what we need it to do, and does it surprisingly well. So if you're in need of a tiny washer, be sure to give this one a look. Not sure how long it's gonna last, but we're happy with our purchase! So is our dirt...

Jacqueline Deane: There are a lot of benefits to using this portable washing machine for me, as I suffer from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity), which is a sensitivity to a lot of the unnecessary chemicals pumped into brand name laundry and personal hygiene products...I guess we humans don't bathe enough and need constant aromatic distractors to our natural scents. I can't wash my clothes in my condo building, because of all the Tide Pods, Downy, and Febreeze products used in the machines that transfer their chemical off gasing to the washers and dryers for others to choke on. This is the best product for anyone who has asthma or sensitivities, and would normally do their laundry in a communal facility with no safeguards to the health of others.

callixtus: So this washer was doing great while it lasted, and it lasted only for 2.5 months!

I purchased this in mid-January 2022 and was in moderate use (about 2-3 cycles per week) for about 2 months. It was small, compact, easy to use and easy to store away. It didn't require any special installation or plumbing. I live in a mid-rise apartment building and it saved me multiple trips up/down to the basement laundry rooms. Bought it for about USD 170 including taxes. I figured that since I am spending about $7 every 2 weeks for coin-operated laundry, if this machine lasts me 1 year, I would have recovered my cost then. Due to the cost and cheap constructions, I was not expecting this to last 5 or 10 years. I was being realistic.

In early April, the motor died and stopped working, after only 2.5 months. I thought that this was too soon, even for a cheap brand! I contacted Pyle USA for repair service (under 1 year warranty) and they are understanding and supportive. (No more return/money back though since it was purchased for over 30 days). However, they will not cover the cost of shipping to and from them. Shipping to Pyle's Brooklyn office for repair costs USD 70 from the East...

Ainsley Arreza: The first few times we used this machine in our small apartment for 2 adults it was great. Everything in the washer came out clean. We were very impressed with the ability of the drier to remove most of the water from our clothes and once we hung them up to dry it only took over night to dry completely. It makes our lives much easier. Since it's so small, you have to do laundry every few days but it's such a quick and easy process that I don't mind doing it that often. The drier is smaller than the washer so it fits less and you might have to do the drier in batches but they take max. 5 minutes each so not a big deal at all. The washing takes longer since you have to do a wash cycle with the soap, drain the machine, and then re-fill it up with clean water for the rinse cycle, but again since the laundry loads are so small and the washing takes 10-15min each cycle it's less of an inconvenience than going to the laundromat. Make sure to balance all of the clothing in the machine, especially in the drier or the whole thing will rattle around but if it's properly balanced it's a pretty quiet machine considering the speed of the motors.

S.L.: The media could not be loaded.  I bought this because there is only 2 washer & dryers in my apartment building and sometimes I just need to get things cleaned without waiting. When I first got this, I unboxed it and it reeked of cigarette smoke… I looked inside the spinner and there were ashes through it… to this day it still smells like smoke and I’ve had it for a few months. For that, I deduct a star automatically.

Let’s start with the pros: it’s pretty easy to use and set up. Simple knobs, even a monkey could use this thing. I have it in my spare room beside my bathroom for easy water access. The washer part is pretty quiet, and it does a really job of getting clothes clean. The spinner does a good job of draining out the access water within just a minute or two. It’s not super heavy, about 20lbs and fits into small spaces. Don’t let the size fool you though, it can handle quite a bit of stuff for one load.

Cons: there are a few. First, I thought this was a washer dryer combo. It’s not a dryer. It’s just a spin cycle to drain the access water out before you hang the clothes. If you need anything dried with heat, this is not for you....

Rosey: I absolutely love this little washer/spin dryer combo. I'm a 90 lb weakling and I can lift this to set it on the table to wash. I place it on top of a throw rug which helps keep it quieter and less likely to shimmy (you could use a rubber mat, too.) It is just a bit too big to fit on my kitchen counter and because the power cord and the drain tube are low, near the bottom of the machine, putting it in the tub is out. I fill it with a bucket. I drain into a bucket; it drains with gravity. All of this is worth it to me so that I do not have to go out to do laundry. It will handle 4-5 pairs of leggings; or 4-5 short sleeve shirts; or 3 long sleeve knit shirts with some smaller items like socks. It's great for socks and underwear, night gowns, pillow cases. I use it to wash my dishcloths and dish towels--with bleach (bleach is ok in this machine.) I use it to wash hand towels and thin bathroom towels. I emphasize thin bath towels. I have seen reviews of people claiming they wash heavy jeans and towels in this. I'm sure you can, but you would need to reduce the size of the load to compensate. I don't cram the washer full. One of those enormous plush bath towels might be a load in this...

Yves Rainville: I bought this for our camping trailer since we will be camping at a seasonal campground starting this spring. There are no laundry facilities and the closest populated center is a good 20 mins away. I searched for a good and compact washing that also spins the clothes. My research lead me to this little gem. It was more expensive than many others but the reviews and the capacity sold me. When my wife saw it, she was not too happy that I had spent over $200 CAD as she did not think the machine would do the job. Well, today we gave it a whirl and loaded it to near capacity of 7.7 lbs. with a little bit of HE (no foam) cold water soap. Our load consisted of undergarments, socks, t-shirts, 2 pair of woman pants a a couple of towels. Set the wash time for 9 minutes and filled the washer and started the wash. The machine was super quiet and well balanced. After the wash ended, we rinsed 3 times at 3 minutes per rinse. The clothes were then taken from the washer and placed in the spinner (about half the load). Started the spin for 3 minutes. Some vibration as the machine got up to speed, at that little sucker can spin!!! To my wife's amazement, the clothes were nearly dry after only 3...
