V. Walker: The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the Puraflame Alice 50” fireplace. This is pretty darn realistic. There are many lighting options to choose from (flame color, crystal color “ember bed”). Great color combinations. I have the cystals off and use the orange with a random blue .

When turning unit on there are buttons on bottom right that light up (power, flame, heater,etc). Those go away after making your selection and waiting a sec or so.

I have the faux logs on top of the crystal bed.

It does have a thermostat on it. So if you set for a temp and the heater doesnt come on check to see what the thermostat is set at. Nice feature. Many units dont have that.

Heater works fine for taking the chill off our basement (400 sq ft). I dont find it very loud at all. Might sound like a fan on low setting or less. Unit is installed recessed with its own dedicated out outlet (this was done as part of a remodel).

Extremely please with this unit.

The Notorious JJS: Installation instructions were not the best, but the install was pretty straight forward. I built an entertainment center and had a hole cut into the 3/4" plywood to install this fireplace. I had to add to the bottom of the hole in order to support the fireplace and to help keep the face of the fireplace parallel with the face of the plywood. The end product is very nice looking and functions properly. It's not going to be primary heat but does add a bit of warmth to the immediate space. The only thing that is a downside is the fan is not unnoticeable (I'm probably being a little greedy), it's not super loud but it also seems a little louder than necessary for how much air it moves.

FoshagFoshag: I was a little wary ordering this fireplace. We had a neighbor install one and he paid almost 3x as much. However, after unboxing and installing this, I could not be much happier. This fireplace has a really nice looking flame and the crystal/log bed looks really good. Install was not bad. In fact it was harder to find straight lumber than it was to mount the FP. Instructions are sufficient. I ran a separate 20a circuit for power since I had open walls, but it says it will run on a standard 15a. My only complaint would be the heat output. It’s a little weak, even on high. On the plus side the fan is relatively quiet and you can feel heat coming off of it, so you know it’s working!

Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded.  I am writing this review in hopes someone will contact me, as the Amazon customer service for this item is always unavailable when I try to access it. It is beautiful, was easy to install, and I love all the options of colours for rocks and flames. But mine is super loud when the heat fan is on. It’s so loud you cannot watch TV or be in the same room without being annoyed of the sound. Other reviewers have commented that there’s was quiet so I’m wondering if there is something wrong with mine. Please see video.

BeeBee: I own 4 other electric fireplaces besides this one and this one is by far the best. Heat works great now that the seller has helped me figure out how to get it to go on by the remote by not having the temperature on there. It is beautiful with stones and realistic logs. Has tons of colours even the stones at the bottom there is a setting that changes them to all the colours. I love the blue flame and orange but do use them all to switch it up. Bottom has a variety to choose from which is awesome! I get so many compliments and the size was perfect for the stone wall I had built for it. Would definitely buy this one again. Was tempted to replace all the others but obviously that would get expensive lol.
