SHOREGIRL: I like the design. I didn’t like all the charcoal residue in the water. I called Petsafe. Was told several rinses prior to use should fix the problem. That is important and should be in the instructions. Haven’t refilled it yet so I don’t know if that will fix the problem.

Amazon Customer: so disappointed. specifically researched the most quiet fountain, and it was until it wasn't. tried to go through amazon to see if i could simply get a new motor but hit a wall everywhere. bummer. i liked this but i HATE new noise in my house.

Laura M.: I bought one of these fountains a few years ago and was very pleased with it, so I just recently bought 2 more in Aug 2023. One of them is working fine but the other one is not working at all, pump just stopped.
UPDATE: I just found out that my husband had let the fountain get (his words) BONE DRY. He just added water and never bothered to tell me that the pump had quit working, until I went to clean the filters yesterday and discovered it was not working. So........I have changed my rating from 2 star to 5 stars.

Jenn: These are so worth the investment! So long as you keep the basin full with water it runs super quiet. 2 small dogs and 1 cat who use it all the time!

Melinda G.: My kitty has been having some kidney issues and needed to be encouraged to drink more water. She LOVES it. She has easily doubled or tripled her water intake, and she has so much more energy. She was hesitant for the first day, but after she tried it, no more fear of the running water.

And- its basically silent! I will have no other noise going in the house, no fans, no tv, no conversation, anything, and I can't hear it even when standing next to it. The pump makes no noise, and the design keeps the water from making any noise.

It was super easy to put together, and its easy to clean. We hand wash every 2-3 days, and put in the dishwasher every other weekend. Everything is dishwasher safe except the pump.

My only complaint is that I wish it was taller, or had some kind of base/stand to put it on, because its a bit lower to the ground and vets recommend elevated bowls because of pet anatomy.

alexandra: My cat is very picky about almost everything so I have tried a million things to get him to drink more water. I finally found the perfect water fountain for him. My other cat also loves it. I think it's because it's ceramic and the shape of the fountain too which they love the most about it.

Amelie: I have been looking for the best noiseless ceramic or stainless steel cat fountain for a while and this one was by far the top of the list. It is very quiet: I have sound sensitivity and had to return my previous fountain which had water dropping from too high making a constant waterfall noise. This fountain does get slimy and dirty pretty fast I have to say. I clean it and 2 days later its a swamp of hairs, calcium build up and slime. But I could have managed the "dirty quickly" part if it wasn't that being made of ceramic, my savannah cats ended up last night going feral on it (I guess, as I wasn't first hand witness); I found the poor fountain tilted over, empty, the cover part rolled on the side and the ceramic tube "pump wire protector" completely severed from the base. I guess the cats weren't too fund of the slime in the end... or there's a poltergeist that hated the thing.
