Anthony Akins: AND THEN I READ THE REVIEWS!!!
Lo and behold, there was a rant by an insufferable blowhard Karen-type who has clearly, long since lost any semblance of a sense of humor. She went crying about how she found the contents sexist and unworthy her moral superiority. To read her hot take, you would think the author himself but the 'sensual' in non-consensual.
The review reminded me of someone who has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. I can imagine she has no enemies but is intensely disliked by all of her friends. I felt so miserable reading the review, it was almost like having her here in the room.
That said, I immediately grabbed a copy.
If you understand psycologically that the human brain learns best when it is entertained, then buying this book is a no-brainer! Particularly useful for those in the midst of matriculation from private into the professional aviation world. It makes some tongue-in-cheek swipes at cheesy humor.
At the end of the day it helps firmly plant complex information in your mind and if that info keeps you from planting 20 tons of aluminum into the side of a hill, then I say insulting cackle creatures,...

Mat H: It’s very easy to understand and is loaded with information pertinent to flying. I’ll use it throughout my CFI teaching

Gianfranco: Great contents but very hard to read.... The formatting is a real chaos: random all caps, italics, bold and figures...
A bit too expensive but overall a good synopsis.

K.Fuchs: This book is absolutely packed with useful information. Generally speaking, I do not like books that are 'busy' with lots of font size changes, bold, underlining, etc., and this book contains that style on every single page. However, in this case, it really seems to work if you give it a chance, and I think it is reflective of the authors personality. No BS right to the point, here it is RIGHT HERE. I am currently a student pilot and used this book extensively when preparing for my PAR written. I scored a 98 on the test on my first take. This book helped me in the following categories: understanding all the regulations in a concise format, understanding all weather reports and their specific purposes, Chapter 4 - calculating various altitudes, understanding their differences and quick rules of thumb in calculations, specifically, I thought the rule of thumb for calculating density altitude was outstanding. Using the 22Rule was also another outstanding tip, and I won't tell you what that is, because it wouldn't be fair to the author. If you want ONE BOOK to cover a tremendous amount of ground, this is the one. I spend thousands of dollars with Amazon every year, and have NEVER...

Aaron A.: This book contains so much knowledge it boggles the mind. It includes and clearly lays out basic info useful to the student pilot such as weather and airspace, but also includes amazing info for the professional pilot (or one transitioning into a professional pilot role) such as OpSpecs and excellent breakdowns of §121 & §135 regulations. This is a definite recommendation for any pilot new or old and I will be making it a mandatory resource for all of my students.
