Jay: I had an old version of this and loved it but it was starting to have the coating come off so needed a replacement. Mind you, the old one was around 10 years old. So I went on the hunt and found this one.
Now, the reason I did 3 stars. I had the old one and realized how much smaller this one is compared. A real bummer. On the old one I was able to do strips of bacon easily. this one has the strips reach from top to bottom and barely fit. Let alone having room and have the well area left alone (well area is where the grease runs too and that leads it to the hole for the collector area).
Designed the same. Read where someone kept getting burnt trying to turn the dial and that makes no sense to me what so ever. I can change temps all throughout cooking and never once got burnt on it.
I had my husband check as his hands are even bigger than mine, I wear a large in ladies gloves and he wears a large in mens gloves, and he never got burnt either.

Otherwise it works well, it heats evenly and I love having one of these larger ones. I'd have given 5 stars if they hadn't taken it and made it smaller width and length wise (length wise it is missing a half inch which does make...

clint: im so happy. its very big. I've made bacon cheese burgers, omelets, eggs, and pancakes, burritos, even heated the beans on one side of the grill while cooking ground beef on the other. its great having so much grill space.
nothing sticks not even eggs. burgers don't burn or stick either. you don't need any Pam or oils.
it has nice lifted edges and a good drain trough in the front with a removable grease tray. but i haven't even needed to clean the grease tray because im not adding oils to grill there is very little grease with my burgers and bacon. Clean up has been so easy. just wipe grill with a paper towel and its clean!!!! wow!
buy this one!. I was going to get a lower cost one and im very happy I did not. The shape of this grill is perfect. all of the grill space is useful and there is plenty of it.
this grill got me off the fast food! now my meals are always perfect and cost much much less then those fast food chains that are no longer fast or cheap or even accurate.
I can make anything much much faster then waiting in a drive thru line. and it cost less and im eating like a king.
I cant say enough about this grill!!! get it!!!

Matthew Hickam: It is sufficient. The heat distribution isn’t even, but you can learn the hotter spots as you use it and adjust your use accordingly.

CE: I waited almost a year to provide this review to ensure that it wasn’t a WOW out of the box feeling for a premature review.
First and foremost, no peeling Teflon! This is a +++++!
The grid is very easy to clean and great cooking surface. Ample space for complete family breakfast. Even heat throughout ‘for the most part’
The element has not broken and cleaning is a breeze.
The cons -
1. The handles come loose often - the fix - add a bit of locktite to the screws.
2. It can damage older counter tops with the rough handle supports; they are jagged at the bottom. However, if on granite tops, you have nothing to worry about. I use it almost daily and it has never caused a scratch. I can see a problem with travertine and laminate tops.
3. On granite it slides a bit while working the grid - fix - use a cooking pad, this will also help for some counter tops - put the mat down and grid on top - problem solved
4. Almost a year in, I can see burn marks on the right side (opposite electrical) and can tell food cooks faster on that side. No sticking yet and still easy to clean.

All in all, I am very please, I paid a bit more and worth it, suspect I can get...
