mathteacher: As someone with trifocals, I really appreciate the linear layout and charts following each recipe. There is no searching for the correct pressure and time; it's right there. This is. Great book, with limited recipes. For what it has, it does it so well.

MARY W: I wished for more recipes and suggestions for using some of the final products. This is great resource book for proper canning and I'm grateful to have it in my home but I'm also glad for the Ball books and others that provide variety of recipes beyond the safe canning information. I think both books are valuable and glad to have this one.

SHARON BROWN: I love this book! I am a first time canner and I have so many questions and I can find answers to all my questions in this book. It has good recipes but not as many as some books but that’s ok because it can help me can properly and without getting botulism. So if you are a first time canner get this book because it helps you understand certain principles behind canning certain vegetables and meats. It is the most informative book I have read and I have read many canning books bc I am OCD and have to know everything......LOL
