Amazon Customer: Product itself is good, but was sent without the rubber foot attachment that was listed in the product description. It only came with the metal spike.

jim: The media could not be loaded.  This stick is exactly what I expected. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I don't understand how you can "love" a hiking stick? It may be a little big around for some, but it's perfect for my somewhat larger hands.

If I were to do it over I would order this one  SE 55in. Walking Stick Hand Carved Bear Rope Wrapped Around Stick . But, I couldn't tell from the picture at what height the wrap was located. So I ordered this one without and made my own grip -- see video.

Update:
After using this stick for a few months I'm a little less happy with it. Not enough to lower my rating but now I'm almost happy. I find the stick a little heavy. I was used to an aluminum hiking stick which was much lighter. I got this one because the aluminum one was collapsible and the instructions with it said not to put your weight on it, so I got this solid one. At the time I didn't consider how much heaver it would be.

Sadie: I love my walking stick. I have arthritis and this stick helps me to stay on my feet longer than without it. I take it to the park and to street fairs. I get a lot of compliments on it. People want to know where I got it. Little kids are always curious as to why I'm using a big stick. It's kind of fun. So glad I got it because it allows me to go places that I might avoid because it's difficult to stand around or get around. This stick gives me something to lean on if I need to wait in line, which takes the pressure off my joints.

I've never felt like the stick is anything but sturdy. It's easy to grip from any area. Sometimes I hold it at the top and other times I feel more comfortable holding it a foot or so down. Since there's no grip area, you can choose whatever is most comfortable for you. .

It's easier to use than a cane, which causes pain in my arm. I have better range of motion and can walk faster with the stick. The best part about the stick is that it doesn't make me look feeble or handicapped like a cane does. But, I still feel like it's an outdoor thing and hesitate to take it to the mall. Maybe if the stick were shorter I'd feel more comfortable carrying...

Gaely: I ordered this because I have multiple joints that like to act up time to time. And I am ashamed to admit I am totally unable to conquer a cane without tripping myself and causing worst problems, So I thought maybe a walking stick would work for me. And it does. We have a steady slope f down from the house to our horse barn and of course, the slope is a upward climb. I can now walk the slope comfortably and give myself more stability. It also makes taking walks much easier and I can walk longer before a knee or hip screams for me to stop. For a hiker I can see where this would be awesome. And for the people like me (there has to be others....please) that trip on their canes and can't quite master how to correctly use a cane, I think this is a good alternative. Have to admit when you are shopping, there are some people don't seem to grasp the concept of walking stick vs cane. But try it w/ caution and hopefully with your doc's approval if you are having joint problems and canes don't quite work for your. I sort of judge stuff like this when it comes to does it help or does it hurt more??? Not too hard to answer. The walking stick made it easier to walk and less painful for me, so...
