I am diagnosed with advanced lumbar spondylosis, which can make walking difficult. Only used them once so far but found them very helpful. I still need to fine tune the setup and practice using them. I was able to walk over a mile without shuffling or stopping to rest. Needless to say, I am happy with the purchase.

Impressed with the quality. The included accessories are nice and the waist pack was a nice surprise.

L. S.L. S.: In spring of 2022, I ordered 4 sets of polls for myself, husband, and teenage sons for a 10-day, 110-mile hike in the Alps. While we love hiking, this trip was above and beyond anything we had done previously. Having just completed that trek, I can affirm that these poles were exactly what we needed. They were durable, lightweight, easy to attach to our day bags when not in use, and very, very beneficial on steep ascents and descents. I'm sure there were others on the trail using polls that cost substantially more, but I cannot fathom how those polls would have been superior to ours in any way. You will want to disassemble them to fit them in your checked luggage, and definitely order a different color for each family member! Thank you so much, Foxelli, for an excellent product!

Seth W.: I used these poles for my hike up Mt St Helens. They did great getting me up to the summit. On the way down I lost my footing for a moment and my foot and kicked the bottom of one of the pole’s putting a slight bend in it. One of my hiking companions had the same thing happen with one of their lower quality poles and theirs actually broke in two.
Even with the bend (I was very cautious not putting much force on the bent pole) I was able to get the rest of the way down the mountain safely. When I returned home I reached out to Foxelli to see if I could purchase a replacement lower section of the pole. They responded quickly asking for my order details and a photo. After I sent these in, they replied back immediately with a delivery date for a new set of poles!!
I highly recommend a company that stands behind their product to this degree!! I have had experiences with other manufacturers that did not stand behind their product even when it was clear a problem was a manufacturer defect. There was no defect involved here, and Foxelli went above and beyond to make sure I am a happy customer. They have succeeded in this effort. Great job!!!

jwl80303: I was a little hesitant to buy these poles because the poles I already have that they are replacing have this 'shock absorber' feature where they have an internal spring and give a little. But because these poles had such high ratings I decided to buy them anyways. After quite a few hikes with them now, I can say that I don't miss that shock absorber feature/gimmick at all. These are excellent poles and would still be excellent poles at 2 or 3 times the price. The locking mechanism is super easy to adjust and use and once properly locked into place the telescoping pole segments stay absolutely put and don't give an inch. I bought one pair and my wife and I each use one of the poles. I may buy another pair so that we can each have two.

Susan W.: I was advised to use walking poles by my physio and these were my eventual choice from a wide selection on Amazon. They are telescopic which I wasn't sure would give me the reliable support that I needed but the clips are adjustable so you can tighten them to get a perfectly firm hold and so far I've not had any problems with slippage. They are also beautifully light to carry and seem to be ergonomically well designed as my arms and wrists feel no effects from our walks. Finally they are a lovely shade of muted green which I find particularly attractive and appropriate to our countryside walks.

Coasting: I looked through dozens of product listing of trekking poles. My goal was not mountain climbing. My exercise routine is mostly walking and I wanted to transition to getting some upper body exercise into the mix. I read that using trekking poles actually did that to a greater extent than I thought. So that's the rationale: I don't need these to support my full weight climbing down a mountain trail, I wanted 1) reasonably light, 2) strong enough to not be fragile, 3) easy to change length and hold fast at that new length, 4) comfortable to hold in the handle and with a comfortable wrist strap that can quickly be changed to go from being around gloves in cold weather and a bare wrist in good weather. It's all there.

Many reviews of various poles criticize the "holding power" of the mechanism that holds the length at your setting. These have a latch and a thumb-turnable bolt that sets the tightness of the latch when closed. It's similar to other latching systems in products I use but seems to confuse some users. No wrench is required. When the latch is opened the screw is easily turned a bit and you test if the latch will hold tight enough or if you need to back it off and...

Amazon Customer: Used for hiking in Eastern Canada.
Worked great on the icy hills, when used with grippers. Very pleased with purchase. I was worried they might be heavy for my wife but she had no concerns.
We previously used a single wooden walking stick but find the aluminum poles work considerably better.
Easy to adjust & great for stability.

Sam: These hiking poles are nothing short of remarkable. I love hiking the wilderness trails and these poles have me back in the game. I'm even able to go off trail if I should spot a special bird, edible mushrooms, trillium flowers, wild berries... They include all the extra feet you'll need for the different terrains at no extra cost. They are very sturdy, have comfortable wrist straps, and the length adjust easily, which is perfect for someone with RA. Honestly I can't brag them up enough. I'm back in the sunshiny wilderness thanks to these two assistants. =)
