Gerean Pflug: I bought one for myself and for my mom. We both have arthritis. We are both vegetarians and use plant-based/non-dairy ice cream, which is usually harder to scoop out than ice cream from animal products. My mom and I could not believe how easy this scoop makes it to serve. I completely recommend it.

Brian A. Bergman: I had to ditch another ice cream scoop since it bent at the neck of the scoop with the first use. This one is powerful and should give years of service. It plows through ice cream like a champ even when just out of the freezer.

Bit Bucket: I have been using this scoop for about two months now, and I am really blown away with just how good it is for me. Some folks might find some of my preferences different from their own so I’ll try to point out some potential differences of opinion.
My first positive impression was just examining it after removing from the packaging. It is really pretty. The soft black handle (in my case) was very comfortable to hold. The thing is very solid feeling and has some heft to it. It is no light weight, and I like that. Some may find it heavier than they prefer, but the vast majority of folks will like it.
The scoop portion itself is a beautiful highly polished stainless steel shell with a very unique shape. This unique shape makes it very easy to scoop out very firm ice cream. The scoop design is really the high point for me. This scoop might not be the best choice for someone wanting to make perfectly round scoops for a cone, but for wholesale scooping ice cream into a bowl, it can’t be beat.
There is a little lid opening feature built into the handle. It does no harm being there, but I don’t find it very useful and don’t use it.

Susan M: I specifically chose the stainless steel version over the zinc. Does a great job, very heavy duty and easy to clean. I wash mine by hand as it only takes about 30 seconds and dishwashing detergent can be hand on the finish or color of implements.
