Apurva Bhargava: I waited until a year to write this review. I decided to buy a cast iron pan because any carbon steel substitute was not working for me, and this one was available at a really good price. First of all, it is heavy, sturdy and high quality. I have been using it regularly for Indian/Asian stir fry vegetables and noodles recipe. And it is still like new. It is easy to clean, doesn't have strange residue like carbon steel, and the food tastes delicious. Most of the times, it can be cleaned with the scraper. If you have used it 3-4 times and have to clean with water, as long as you make sure to rub it with oil and heat it up afterwards, it will not rust at all. It is actually way easier to maintain than carbon steel pans.

K Wile: The 15” size is big the 6.6 KG is too heavy for regular use. The surface is not as smooth as many cast iron pans I have used or seen. It’s good for steaks but delicate items like eggs are a little challenging.

cqlink: First, for $9.00, you can't go wrong so there's really nothing more to be said but curiously, there a review consideration based on a cast iron skillet's resistance to heat. If it's for the handle, I wouldn't hold a hot cast iron skillet by the handle immediately after taking it off a grill but then again companies have to warn against every conceivable thing a dope could do to harm themselves these days.

Mmm219: I don't use any other skillet for cooking now! It's healthier, too, than aluminum and the other chemical based non-stick pans. The handle cover is really great, too! Will be ordering another skillet soon.

G. Samara: First thing fast delivery, well packaged and it is HEAVY. I mean heavy at 3.75kg. Hope you have strong wrists.
It comes with a silicon handle which I tested on gas stove and oven gas mark 4 (as recommended). It say cool to the hands.
In the box you will find instruction manual and a card for quick use. I HIGHLY recommend reading them thoroughly to avoid disappointment. video and instruction are repeated on Cuisinel website. Furthermore, there are tons of videos on Youtube on how to season and clean your skillet. Even instructions on cooking.
Armed with these instructions I first cleaned the skillet wit soap and water, put it on the stove medium high heat (always use medium high heat on this skillets even for cooking), let it dry thoroughly. Used 2 tbs of vegetable oil and spread it across the pan. When it started to smoke, I removed it from the heat, let it cool down a bit and with a cloth I spread the oil all over as recommended. Turned it over and put in the oven for 1 hour. I did this twice. Next day I did eggs with onion and mushrooms, pork steak and they did not stick. I recommend doing the seasoning as many time as you can. It will get better and...

Eal12333: It's a cast iron pan; kinda hard to go wrong as long as it's made of iron and shaped like a pan haha. Seasoning job that came with it was fine.
I'll nitpick though:
The casting is rough enough that it's hard to use things like paper towels on it without tearing them up. I might grind down the inner surface some day, but it doesn't affect the non-stick performance as far as i can tell.
It's really hard to put on and take off; that might be excusable, but the hole in it (which aesthetically matches the hole in the actual handle) is too big and flimsy, and the handle can't hold the weight of the pan without deforming and allowing your bare hand to touch the metal, which kinda defeats the purpose.
All in all seems like a fine pan :)

NormNorm: The finish and smoothness was great, although the seasoning is mate black and not shiny like after you have used it a bit. There a no blemishes or ugly grinder marks like on some cast iron. This think is very big. I have many cast iron pans and sometimes I order "used, good condition" from amazon in hopes that is was returned by someone who didn't get what they expected and not a defect or damage to product. That's what this was, and the pan was perfect, the box had evidence of several shipping label that where removed, but it was still in a relatively good box, in plastic with all the additional accessories. Only problem is finding a lid for it now. This pan did not come with one and Cuisinal does not sell the 15" lid anywhere except in a combo pack with this pan together.
