I decided to clean them but wash them, I bought a spatula and with that I take off all the difficult parts when it is needed, other ways I just clean them with a paper tower, sometimes with salt, usually just like that. I love these pans. If you are complaining about they being rusty or sticking, it is because you do not know how to make a proper maintenance of them. Remember don’t, for any reason, wash them with water and soup, just clean them with a spatula and a peace of paper towel. And when you are done with the paper towel, just put the pan again in the flame to seal the grease.

Simply Ri: I did a lot of research on cast iron and maintenance before I bought a cheap set of pans to start off with.
We’re from the south and are familiar with it but never used it ourselves. After using non stick pans that have become less desirable after two years I made the plunge and glad I did! I wish I had done it sooner.
(Saturday) After cleaning them with hot water and dawn, I warmed them in the over for 5-10mins to get rid of the water. I spent the day seasoning the pans with bacon grease. I did 5 coats and was satisfied with the slickness, glass look, and patina of the iron. I put them up.
(Monday) I used my 10in pan for the first time. I made bacon and eggs. Warmed up the pan and it was perfect! Non stick and food seemed to taste better?! I’m not sure but it could just be me.
I see a-lot of people saying it’s bad quality because it rusts but that’s what happens with metal when exposed to water. And not all dishwashers dry very well to where water will exit the pan with the washer alone so it would be best to still heat it up in the oven as soon as the dishwasher is done.
Also it needs OIL to prevent it from rusting as well. Oil lubricates...

David G.: In the beginning, I absolutely didn't know much about cast-iron skillets. I didn't know it had a very this maintenance "debt" on it every time you used it. I didn't know why it started to rust after days.
Turns out I just didn't know anything about anything cast-iron. So words like "seasoning" and "season after wash" weren't exactly something I cared about due to ignorance.
So, sure, there may be a lot of technical factors of why something like Utopia doesn't match heat distribution of brands like Lodge. Maybe, maybe not. The question you need to ask yourself is whether you want to spend over a hundred bucks for Lodge or just get this. You can mitigate heat distribution once you learn how to use your cast-iron skillet.
Recently, I started seasoning my cast iron skillet every time I use the oven. So if I use it 3 times a week. I will proceed to add a layer of seasoning to my Utopia cast iron skillet. The reason is because adding layer ontop of layer and letting it all polymerize eventually well give you decent non-stick properties regardless if the brand is cheap or not. What matters here is that a cast-iron will behave like other cast irons.
All in all....

PATRICIA BARRIENTOS: Me parecen pequeños, pero estoy contenta con ellos. No hay que olvidar engrasado después de cada lavada o se oxidan

Dev: I've used these pans for many times now, they are so sturdy and easy to store. It is like one time investment when it comes to durability and use. The only thing is, if you don't have enough time, especially while making pan cakes, dosa, pudla etc. then you may need a second thought on using them.
Seasoning your cast iron pans is extremely important. I most use them on enclosed ceramic hobs, before first use, make sure you wash them properly. Just after washing, don't let them rest for drying, it can easily rust them. It is better, if you wipe and heat them enough till you see the smoke rising, then let it cool down a bit, apply some oil and spread it with a towel, then it it again at smoking point for nearly 15 minutes! And you're ready to go!
While in hurry, make sure you don't spread the pancake, pudla or dosa on entire available surface, but try to make them small so rhat you can easily flip them when needed.
After using it, let it cool down, wash and reapeat the seasoning step, then store it where it doesn't get dust particles.

Jimbo: Great value and work great, I heated mine up and after cooling I seasoned them with bacon grease. Worth the time to do.
