D. Hermanns: OK, in June 2018 I bought a pair of these, seeing the writing on the wall that Sears was dying and my large stash of 19.2 V tools were going to be useless without batteries.

The power meter is not real accurate, but then, these 5.0A batteries have LOTS of power. I am amazed how much I can get done. I've tried to use these two batteries more than my older batteries, so as to test them during the warranty period. Both have had maybe 50 cycles and are doing well.

Yes, you must have a Lithium battery charger. And the usual warnings apply: DO NOT ALLOW A DEAD LITHIUM BATTERY TO FREEZE. Doing so will kill this and all brands, unless they are designed to preserve a base charge.

Only Caveat: Its been 18 months and the Powilling battery you get today may not be the one I got last year. But they do have a decent warranty. Grab a pair and use them regularly for the first couple months. I suspect if they make it for a few months you are set for several years....

JP: Batteries were shipped very quickly. I was able to finish the project I was working on once they came. After going to Lowe’s to see if I could buy these batteries there. The person working at Lowe’s said they only carry the new style craftsman batteries. So I’m glad I can get more batteries through you guys. I’m glad all my cordless craftsman tools are not obsolete now. Although I would love to buy the new craftsman Tools I spent a fortune already on the previous generation cordless craftsman tools.

When the batteries were shipped to me they were already partially charged but I would recommend putting them to be charge fully before using them. Very happy with the product and will be purchasing more batteries in the near future.

Michael: I originally purchased these due to my old NiMH batteries were pretty much dead. Would not hold a charge. These two batteries arrived charged, with a new charger, and all in perfect condition. I have since used one battery to rebuild a side of a barn, and brace another. This included drilling pilot holes, screwing (lots of screws and bolts) and using the one battery in a circular saw to cut wood. It still has half a charge after all that.....ONE BATTERY. These batteries stay charged forever! The power output is amazing. They are much lighter than the NiMH as well. The charge indicator button gets stuck sometimes when you press it in but it easily pops out. Have not really used the charged but tried and it worked as should. Great price, quality, and upgrade.

Ethan S.: I have been using these batteries in my 10 year old Craftsman tool set for the last 2 months to remodel a room in our house. I wanted to buy a new tool set but i figured I'd give these a try first for the price.
I've been pretty surprised by the power and how long the charge last in these! I use them in the 5 1/2" circular saw, recip saw, drill and impact.
The only weak part of them is the casing of the battery. When they were delivered the mounting screw posts were broke so the two halves of the batteries would come apart. I let the seller know and they sent a replacement right away.
I literally Gorilla glued them back together and have had no problems. So I got 3 batteries for the price of 2.

Long story short they work great, just don't drop them!

Gary Davis: Dislike.
It was inexpensive, but in the end a very bad deal. Held a charge for one day for one project. Second time it was on the charger a burning smell filled the room. It was the battery. If I can't trust the tool to work every time, I don't want it.

Sure, the Craftsman brand is a little more expensive, but I trust it. And it works every time.

A total waste of money. If I could give it zero stars I would.
UPDATE:
The company admitted that they had, for a short period of time, a bad batch that got shipped out. Mine was part of that batch.

They immediately replaced them. The replacements charge quickly, hold a charge, and are of excellent quality!
