Kevin Hanes: I love this generator!! I have owned 5 different generators over the years and this one is my favorite. I love the dual fuel aspect but use the propane for fuel so I don't have to rebuild the carburetor every year using gasoline.

Papax3: This is a fairly heavy generator and it could have been easier to assemble the wheels with another person, which I did not have. After completing the assembly I added the oil, it does not come with oil, put some gasoline in it and connected the battery. It fired up on the 2nd attempt. I ran it until the gas tank was empty.
My reason for this purchase is for standby power during an outage. I’m having an electrician install a transfer switch. I’ll provide an update once we use it for its intended purpose.

KenzieKenzie: Really like this geny, it runs very well and actually fairly quiet and I've done similar installs with the same size genys of westinghouse, duromax, durostar, and wen genys. All the bigger size around 12kw to 13kw. These things run an entire house as does this pulsar from fridge freezer well pump furnace AC lights TV. Everything. Put the entire load on this house and it barely made a hiccup. I utilized a 10 switch manual transfer switch kit from reliance and tapped into the existing LP of the house with a half inch flex hose. With this pulsar I really like the plainness of it. Simple electric start, manual choke which isn't needed with LP or natural gas. Actually able to pull start it and the outside air temp was 40F. No extra idle control or fancy switches that can and will break. Just a very simple and easy geny to run and keep running.

Will update if anything else occurs.

rgrg: I've been doing my research for almost 3 months now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. My neighbor got a different brand, but he only needed a 30 amp hookup because he did not think it would power the air conditioner. Well, now he is buying this exact same one. The electrician that did my 50 amp box and breaker was actually impressed also because he installs whole home generators. When I told him the price of this, he started looking it up on amazon. This thing starts super easy, and Powers my entire house of 2600 square feet and my air conditioner. I do have a new air conditioner, but it is a big AC unit. We also have LEDs throughout the house, a stand-up freezer, a refrigerator freezer, and a small refrigerator outside. We also have the normal tvs, microwaves, and the likes. This was able to power my whole house with the lights all on, watching tv, air conditioner rolling, and this unit did not even pick up. I wanted to test it out, and it ran 16 hours before I even thought about putting in a fuel in it. I will say this, you do need a 50 amp hookup, and don't be shell shocked when you see the cost of the cable. Also, you really should break it in. I ran oil in...

A CustomerA Customer: After the hard freeze we had in February, I decided it was time to purchase an emergency standby generator. I looked at many models and finally decided on this unit. It does have the power to run our whole house in either, winter or summer. It has the ability to run on either gas or LP. Like all of the other reviews, this unit is somewhat louder than competing models, but this is just for emergency purposes, so this is a compromise we are willing to make.

One thing that I did notice was even after putting in a couple of gallons of gasoline, the fuel gauge had not moved any. Suspecting that something had gotten knocked loose in shipment, I removed the gauge to inspect and did not find any problems. Upon further diagnosis, I realized the arm connecting the gauge to the float was too short and not allowing the float to go down all the way to the bottom of the tank; it was 1.5 inches from the bottom of the tank at the lowest point. I have made a new arm that replaces the original one which now allows the float to reach the bottom of the tank and will now give me an accurate tank reading. Other than that, I am pleased with this unit.

Update:
I have had this unit for a...
