Rey: Someone at quality control dropped the ball. After following the instructions on start up, the unit did not turn on. I took the side over off and discovered two connections causing the issue. The first one was a yellow wire coming from the ignition coil, the connector only goes on one way, someone connected it upside down which did not clip in. Still the unit did not start. Did some more digging and inside the bottom generator there was a two wire connector with yellow and I believe red with green wire, completely disconnected. I found the other end laying in the bottom and connected it. This powered the ignition coil and now everything works.

I hope this helps someone with the same no start issue.

Good_Boy_TGood_Boy_T: Nice generator, easy to set up. Not so easy to transport w/ the handle going lengthwise. Would've been a better design with fold out handles on each end (more like a cooler) so two people could bear the load easier. We made a simple modification with some exercise handles you can also find on amazon for cheap. See attached. Other than that, its solid!

Mark SmithMark Smith: The Generac iQ3500 is a nice, quiet running machine. Took several decibel readings in both full power mode and economy mode. Those readings ranged from lows of 64-65ish at the front of the unit out to about 3ft away. Loudest reading was at the back of the unit in full power mode with an 83.4dB. Stood inside my camper which was around ten feet away and got a reading of 44dB. With the air conditioner running in the camper, the air conditioner was louder than the generator. Very happy, would recommend. One note to new owners, I couldn't find the oil capacity anywhere in the owners manual. Unit comes with one quart of 30W oil. It does not take the entire quart, ended up taking about 7/8. Gas tank holds 2 1/2 gal.
Update after first use: This thing is great! Ran it all weekend nonstop, over 40 hours straight on 10gal. of gas. Does not like to be moved, even a little, while it is running. Love this generator!

Amazon Customer: I'm dubious how necessary the extensive break-ins people talk about are - I did that, but I haven't seen a metal shaving in my oil yet and I'm using a magnetic drain plug. Works great, have used it on job sites, noise is fair for a sub-$1000 generator. Only complaint is that it could use some sort of fuel level indicator.

It's physically compact and is 'heavier than it looks', and is difficult to carry or lift in any way besides one-handed. It's unlikely everyone in your household or workplace will be able to haul it around, especially if stairs are involved.

francis mercier: Je viens de recevoir la generatrice et je l’ai essayer durant un week-end au chalet. Au début elle ne démarrait pas , probablement dû au fait qu’elle s’est fait brasser dans le trajet. Apres l’avoir laisser reposer 1 hrs elle s’est mise à fonctionner. Par contre , la generatrice étouffe apres un certain temps et elle s’eteind. Apres plusieurs test j’ai décider de laisser le bouchon visser seulement d’un filet de façon à ce que la generatrice puisse tirer son air un peu comme une tank a gaz de moteur de bateau hors bord. Le problème à été régler instantanément. Sinon pour une premiere fin de semaine à l’utiliser , tout est bien mis à part ça.

Brent K.: Purchased to power RV air conditioner. I knew it wouldn't power it on its own but opted for this small gen with a Soft Start. Powers the Coleman Mach 15 (15K BTU) without issue.
Haven't used it much yet, but have tested it successfully while simultaneously running the converter.

Mas: I have owned other generac products before and have been disappointed by them, ironically the last generac generator I owned was a gp3300, and that model was a standard pull start model not inverted and not clean power.

This is the total opposite of that.

This thing is totally silent, so quiet we chained it to one of the blocks at our fireworks tent for we were afraid someone might steal it.

Anyway I got this to directly replace the noisy older GP 3300 and I have to say this is one of the best generators I have ever owned. As mentioned this thing is near silent, even under full load it's near silent. It provides roughly 3100 Watts continuously for our purposes.

During the day it ran a mini glass door refrigerator, register, open sign, and two portable AC units. At night this thing ran the lighting that was built into the fireworks tent without a hiccup, it also ran 8 100 Watt led ground floodlights to light up the banners outside the tent, and because it cooled off at night we could just run fans instead of the AC units.

This thing ran nearly continually for 2 weeks as our fireworks tent is 24 hours. The fuel efficiency on this thing is...
