Amy: Previously had a PP4 which unfortunately failed outside the warranty so purchased this as a replacement. Handy tool for fault finding. Easy to use and has a long lead to hook up to battery and use the length of the vehicle your working on. Definitely a lot more basic than a PP4 but still a very useful capable tool.

artificiallyselected: I'm an avid automotive DIYer and I absolutely love this tool. It is a quality diagnostic tool that can be used for basic electrical problems. It supplies power and ground if you want it to. It also can check for power and ground. This tool has saved me lots of money on just one job. On my 2009 Civic, my rear door would not lock when I pressed the lock button. This tool helped me confirm that the lock actuator was broken. I removed the door panel and revealed the connector for the lock actuator. This tool helped me do two things: 1) Check for power and ground on the wires that feed the actuator and 2) provide power and ground to the actuator to see if it would engage. I found that the wiring was fine (power and ground were present) but when I provided the actuator with power and ground the lock did not engage. Dealers or shops would likely charge an hour's worth of labor for that job, and that's what this tool costs.
