ga31648: Needed something I could carry with me to my truck parking where I could inflate & top off my truck and trailer tires. I had to buy a pistol grip gauge and some rubber valve stem extension pieces for my purposes but the compressor does a great job and is capable of airing up tires over 100psi with ease. It is about the size of a backpack and it isn't too heavy. Builds pressure very quickly and can run for a long time.

Much much much better than those bulky compressors you will probably break your back carrying around. Time will tell how long it will last but so far so good!

Pala: My dually van's six tires run at about 60 psi; the front a little less, the four rear a little more. Max pressure is 80psi. A little 12v pump, even the ones that cost several hundred dollars, simply don't get the job done.

I have 110v in the van and do not like the idea of opening the hood and reaching in to make a connection. You know what Murphy's Law says and it goes double in emergency situations so I started looking for AC/DC units. Same problem as the DC only units: Not enough CF/M to do the job anytime in my lifetime much less without overheating first. I have on of these units for my truck and car. Fine for them staying in the 30's psi but, I think I busted it trying for 58 psi.

So I started looking for AC only portable units - HARD TO FIND. I saw one on a van builder's video posted three years ago and reached out. He bought it at Sears. Great, try finding a Sears store! So my search continued.

I visited the big box stores to look, feel, lift, gauge size and weight of tanked compressors; hot dog and pancake styles. ALL were too heavy and too large for the space I want to dedicate to one in the garage of my van. Then after days...

JPW: I bought this originally for use on my RV. I ended up replacing it with a more compact 12 volt unit that I could use on the side of the road. This became my garage compressor and I really like it. It is well balanced and easy to carry from place to place. I use it to air up the truck tires while in the drive. It powers my small pneumatic tools (nail gun, stapler). My 3400 watt generator powers it without effort and I prefer it for blowing out the water lines on the RV. I blow out the hoses on the side of the house. I have not had a situation where it could not handle my needs. I feel it is the right size and has the capabilities for every day around the house use.

Lori Lavado: Bought this to fill my 22.5" tires on my 40ft diesel pusher RV to 100PSI, works perfect! I was scouring the net to find a tire inflator that cold handle 6 large RV tires in one duty cycle. The only option I saw was the VIAIR 450 series for around $500. Read about this on an RV site and had to try. Wow, am I glad I did! First off, it can handle the pressure of my tires no problem. The unit is very light and compact which makes it easy to store in my RV. The unit is pretty quiet for an air compressor. It has standard hose 1/4 threaded ends. It fills up to "cut out" pressure very quickly. And what is nice is the 1.5 gallon tank has enough air storage in it that once pressurized, I can unplug it and and carry it around to "top off" my car tires (note; you can only do that with car tires since lower pressure, needs to be plugged in for RV).

TexAG: Very reliable small compressor and the quality is impressive for the price.
Easy to use even without reading a manual. Nice design and small foam factor saves storage space.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the compressor but not with the accessories. That's why I starred 4.

Among the included accessories, hose was fine but all the connectors and pumping/depleting nozzles were cheap looking crappy stuffs.
I added quick release couplers to both ends of the hose and harbor freight bought blower and pump accessory. I think replace included accessories with better quality ones and add $5 to the price will make this piece of equipment near perfect.

Again, compress is great. Just accessories are not great. However, the included accessories will be good enough for most of occasional users except people like me who likes to use the compressor a lot for many kind of jobs.
