I noticed it was a little bit on the cheaper side but I still believe this product is worth the money and I hope for it to last long.

JeanetteJeanette: This is my first manual grinder and if it stands the test of time, I'd pass it down to my next of kin.
It gleams on the counter with its Zoolandic brush steel look; occupying minimal space and a smidgen of time. It's easy to assemble and use, prevents an earful of transferrable guilt through your neighbour's walls at 5 am and it couples as a surprising accessory to soothe anxiety (...until you get the coffee jitters).
I personally enjoy the process of grinding the beans in this delightful little canister of joy. It's not hard work, but does take a bit of time dedication (5-7 mins) to make a 3-4 cup capacity of freshly ground fuel.

Peter LarkinPeter Larkin: I read a bunch of the reviews before I bought, both high ratings and low. I was looking for a portable grinder for my picopresso. (A little portable espresso maker, I use for travelling) As a result of reading the reviews I was not expecting much. There were more than a few disappointed espresso drinkers. (You need a solid grinder that will produce very fine grinds for espresso) I have been using the grinder for a couple of days and I am impressed.
The grind takes a few minutes and some elbow grease, but the results are quite nice. The espresso I made was very good giving me much of the same flavour notes I would get with the lighter roast coffee I used with my home system. I ground 15 grams of beans, a lite roast, single origin from 49th parallel. The grind took at least 2 min. The grinder was set to the finest grind setting and delivered a very well balanced espresso.
It actually made wonder why I spent close to $5000 on my home grinder and espresso machine. (I am a bit of a coffee nut)
I can’t tell how long this grinder will last but I am very satisfied and feel it was a well spent $30 approx(cnd). Have a look around, I have tried a few hand grinders and...

Patrick Dirks: I took a chance to see if it would grind flaxseed while I'm away from home and it doesn't. The seeds either don't grind at all at the fine setting, or come out whole on the coarse setting. And there doesn't seem to be a middle ground. But that's my fault for giving it a shot. It seems to grind coffee beans decently.

abigail Jestis: It’s a grind, ha, waking and having to do manual labor before your first cup of coffee — but after about three days you’ll be used to it and so happy about the coffee quality you can get, you probably won’t care.
That was my experience. TIP: do it in midair. Putting it on a surface seems intuitive, but I found I could grind it a lot faster if I just held the thing with one hand and ground with the other.
I also used one of those hotel room water cup sleeves to slip it in and out of its little soft bag each day. Otherwise, maneuvering velvet against leather is annoying.
I like it. It’s cute, compact, and gets the job done.

Riley's mom: I grind coffee beans for fresher taste. This did a good job. Be aware that the catch cup portion of the mill doesn’t unscrew. It says “turn bottom clockwise to remove”, which made me think I needed to unscrew it, but it actually pulls apart. It’s a very tight fit and when I finally got it apart, my freshly ground coffee dumped out. Oh, well maybe I’ll keep someone else from doing the same thing! Hahaha 🤣

Matthew A.: Have been using this grinder for about 3 months now, and I absolutely adore it. Yes, it does take some time to grind the beans but that's expected, and is even explained up-front. This is NOT your conventional coffee grinder.
There are two parts - the upper where you put in your beans and where the burr grinder lives, and the bottom section that catches the grounds. There's a dial on the upper piece that allows you to select how fine you want the grind. It is easiest to adjust the dial with the crank arm attached that you use to rotate the burr to grind the beans. I have mine turned ALL the way to the right, for as fine as you can get, or basically for an espresso grind. At this level it's perfect for getting all of the flavor out of the coffee or espresso roast.
The beans I prepare with this grinder are brewed in a 6-cup stovetop Moka pot. For a 6-cup (European) brew I usually have to do 1 1/2 hoppers of beans, so this grinder probably isn't a great option if you're someone who drinks multiple (American) sized cups of coffee or are making coffee for more than 1 person in a household.
The size is excellent too because I fully plan on taking this with me when I...

Anonymous1: To preface, this is my first hand grinder but I have owned a few electric burr grinders.
This product is PERFECT for someone who wants to make 1-2 cups of coffee in the morning or for someone who goes camping/backpacking. I actually enjoy using this more than my electric grinder because it give me more consistent and finer grounds. I also use this almost exclusively with an aeropress, and the collection container is the perfect size to pour into the aeropress.
Some things to note: you can fit a MAX of 20-22g of coffee into the grinder at a time, which is perfect for me but not might be for you. You also kind of need to eyeball the grind adjustment--theres no real way to measure other than to do a few tests to get it where you need it (it can do VERY coarse to VERY fine, just need to find your sweet spot).
The entire grind assembly can be taken apart and cleaned easily with the included brushes. Nothing on the grinder feels cheap and the leather casing feels nice and has a little slot for the crank arm.
GREAT investment!

Amazon Customer: Compact and neat carrying bag. The overall manufacturing is pretty solid, it's definitely stainless steel, which is some pretty tough stuff. The grinder inside works pretty well. Cleaning is not an issue.
The nut that adjusts the grind level could be a tighter (needs less tolerance). For a fine grind, the grinder nut will loosen a bit as you grind - so the grind gets coarser, and you have to open it, re-tighten the nut, close it up and keep grinding. It's no big deal, it's just a little weird that a very crucial element of the design would do that. Perhaps a locking mechanism, or a spring pushing on the nut would help. Or maybe just tighter/finer threads; maybe finer aircraft-type threads.
All in all, it works well, and it's pretty tough.
