Framistat: In a past review, I complained that the grinder leaks grounds on use. That was my error, I had not inserted the receiving container correctly. Now it is excellent. Also does not create fines when grinding medium or coarse.

Julio TJulio T: Update: increasing one star due to excellent customer service that shipped a new unit to see if the issue is resolved. After a couple of months of using this new unit, I will update my review.

I have used this Shardor conical burr coffee grinder for four months as it was a gift for Father’s Day.

It isn't easy to find a coffee grinder at this price point, so I wanted to try it. Overall performance is good. Size of grained coffee beans is good for pour over. It is a bit loud but I think it is ok.

My main complaint is that the plastic hopper has cracks as you can see in the photos. They have been growing so i might put something to prevent further cracking.

So overall good performance but not a good plastic hopper. I hope company can fix this issue.

AlistairG: Listing on Amazon UK does not make clear that this is a 110V product sent from the US. Took days to arrive and then completely unusable in UK. In fact a major safety hazard if you did try to plug in using an adapter.

Dan G.: Spent a lot of time looking at various burr grinder coffee grinders. Missed special pricing on a couple of them (including this one). Finally though I'd settled on the Cuisinart until I looked more closely and found out it uses a flat burr grinder (which is not bad) with some blocks above the regular sized burrs. Come to find out that style of a burr is there to help it complete the grind more quickly because it cracks the beans before they get to the grinding teeth. It also heats up the beans. I bought a burr grinder because I didn't want to heat the beans up like a blade grinder does. This Shardor grinder has a conical grinder and doesn't have that problem. Plus with a conical grinder your adjustment moves the teeth of the grinding ring farther down the cone to define the grind. So I bought this one.

Be sure you put the bean hopper on correctly. Align the arrows so it sits down completely. If it or the grinding chamber (catches the grounds) aren't mounted correctly the blue light on the grind switch will flash and no grinding will take place.

On my first uses of it I had to turn it way over into the fine area (almost to the end) and still didn't get the fine grind...

Albert Meijering: Trying to use to grind coffee. Would not recommend this one, there is no consistency in the grind. Even at the finest espresso setting, more than half the grind particles are huge mixed with fine powder. Does not matter what setting for grind you use, it is a mixed bag of what you will get. The older model was much better. I do not recommend this grinder at all.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: UPDATE: My previous review is below! After I've received a refund for the wrong item I received, I was contacted by the seller. Their post-sale follow up/ communication was great. They offered to send me a correct product free of charge. I received it in a day or so and since I've been testing it. This is the product I wanted this whole time and so far it works great! I can do another update after a few months, but as of now it really is what they represent. The espresso setting works perfectly, the coffee is fine, you can actually use it for Turkish coffee as well! The machine over all looks sturdy, not like the one I got by mistake. There is NO static at all, I think that was the biggest surprise for me comparing it with the other machine. The other one was soo messy, this one was so clean, after you use the coffee from the cup you don't even have to clean it, although I did with a dry paper towel. It's not too loud either. I also tested the other settings ( for drip and french press) and it did it's job! SO I've decided to update my previous review, since I really think this machine is worth the money! randy oravec: I am very impressed with this coffee grinder. The settings take the guesswork out of the coffee bean/water ratio required to brew an excellent coffee. The size of grounds is consistent, so it seems fewer coffee beans are required. I was disappointed with the warranty registration, no success. The grinder is very well made, so fingers crossed that it’ll last a long time.
