Poodle Grooming Comb for Easily Detangling Pet Fur

RS: I have a little poodle mix (with coton de Tulear) and her fur can get very matted. She has a "plumey" tail and longer ears and those places, in particular, were nearly impossible for me to get my regular comb through; it was left for the groomer. I had read good reviews about this comb and decided to try it and it truly works wonders! Those problem areas I described still require some patience, but the long blades that are serrated on one side are able to make their way through the tangles. I found I had to use a bit of a "sawing" motion a few times, but my little dog tolerates it. The comb must be combed in a certain direction because one side of the blades is smooth (which is what you want going against your dog's body) and the other side serrated (which is what cuts through the tangles). Anyway, this is a great comb; I highly recommend it.

Lindsay McGriff: This tool is an absolute requirement for poodle breed owners! Most brushes don't get under their hair to get the "molt". They don't shed, so they molt instead. The hair just gets matted up if not brushed. This device makes brushing out matted hair a breeze!!

Momcierge: This comb is amazing! I've never used a de-matting tool before & it was like magic on a very long-haired Golden Retriever and a huge, thick-haired Bernese Mountain Dog. I had brushed them both several times and removed a million pounds of unwanted undercoat, but then I used this tool and had another pile of fur twice as big!

My only functional complaint is that you can only comb in one direction, from one angle because of the way the blades and thumb test are positioned. This made it very difficult to maneuver around large dogs; it definitely will NOT work for a left-handed person.

Be careful - The teeth of the comb are like sneaky razor blades!!! I wasn't paying attention when the dog moved and nearly lost my pinky finger. Several bandaids later, and luckily it doesn't seem to actually cut the dog's main outer coat, but I still think this tool is awesome!

jemma: I have 2 cavapoos and 1 of them has straight up poodle fur which gets matted easily and I end up having to shave out the matts. The other ones fur is a mix but it works just as well and is amazing for his tail too which usually he hates having brushed. I figured I would give this a go and I'm definitely not disappointed. It was really easy to break up the matts and pain-free for my pups too. The design is great with the thumb hold it makes it a lot more comfortable to use and because the ends of the brush are rounded i dont worry about it accidentally hurting my boys. I even ended up buying 1 for my mum as she also has 2 cavapoos and she said its amazing the difference she sees from just using a regular brush to this. I do recommend getting a good brush as well though, because while this breaks the matts and knots up, its a lot easier to get rid of the residue by using a brush after breaking them up rather than doing it by hand. Without a doubt a well deserved 5 star.
