My first go at making ice I filled the whole sleeve with water and pushed the bucket down inside. I was shocked when I came back and had a huge piece of ice only on the bottom. It must be filled by pulling the sleeve away as instructed.

engineer0712: Only kind of makes diamond cubes. Nothing as pristine cut as in the pic. More slivers and odd small chunks of ice.

Finzi: This was an unsatisfactory purchase as not only the ice a small, it's also very messy to use this product.
You are supposed to pour water and press down the translucent container inside it to ensure the water freeze to the specific size but once pressed down it just comes back up despite numerous efforts. The lid is merely a silicon flap that can't shut the container tightly prevents the translucent container from popping back up.
This might be the product for those who wants a semi-circle shaped ice. All in all the size of the ice is too small making the quantity required more and its not as functional.

Ebony: I like the ease of getting the ice out but they're tiny malformed ice shards. Don't expect a cube of any sort. The shards also melt into a disc if you use the centre for storing your shards while making new ones.

Arturo: Buenos materiales, sin embargo es un poco dificil de utilizar, ya que al llenar de agua, el bote interno tiende a subir y es dificil poner la tapa

Ashley: My boyfriend has an ice problem. He wants it in every drink. I, however, have lived most of my adult life without ice in my freezer only occasionally buying a bag at the store for margarita nights. I should just buy one of the stupid machines but can't justify giving up the counter space for one.
I always think ice from the freezer smells. I don't know why. I've cleaned and bleached and done everything I can. It just has a distinct "freezer" flavor. So I wanted something that could make ice but be "enclosed". This seemed like a great idea. It makes the ice. It stores the ice. It looks simple.
Annnnnd it's complete garbage.
First observation... when trying to fill the space between the cup and the silicone, the cup will try to float. You basically have to hold it in a way so that it is pushed against the bottom AND allows you to add water. Then, you have to try and put the lid on which somehow seems trickier when dealing with the floating interior cup. If you've added too much, it'll spill. If you haven't, it wont spill but you wont get any ice. The plus side? It freezes pretty quickly. After freezing, you squeeze the outside. This will cause the thin ice to...

me: Our built in ice maker died years ago. For the past ten years, I've purchased my ice at the Steak n Shake drive thru near my house. But then, the pandemic hit, and Steak n Shake closed their doors. Panic set in... where am I to get my ice? I despise traditional ice cube trays as I find them messy, cumbersome, and they take up too much freezer space. So, while locked up with nowhere to go, I searched Amazon for ice making alternatives. I stumbled upon this little gadget. I'm going to be honest... I wasn't expecting to like it. But thought it was worth a shot. Man, was I wrong! This thing is AWESOME!! HAHA!! I LOVE IT!! Once I figured out how far to fill it to prevent spillage, it was absolute ice perfection! The water freezes quicker than traditional ice cube trays, and makes enough ice for about two hearty drink cups. The key to success is to figure out the right amount of water to fill so that it doesn't overflow when placing the plastic cylinder container into the silicone. Once you've got that, it's easy. Place the container in the freezer to freeze. Once frozen, remove the lid. I then give the container a few solid squeezes along the top rim to break the cylinder free, then...

Brad: I got this because my old ice cube tray busted. The thing works great accept it makes your ice kinda taste like plastic. It's super easy to get the ice out of the thing, the shape is convenient, it's super easy to fill, the seal is okayish. It's also very durable, but again it kinda makes the ice taste funny. (Unsure if it's the water or the ice)
